This is my unhealthy unconventional attempt at coping with the news of KR and DT getting back together. It's just an insight with song into how I feel about the situation. But hey, it's free music, eh?

This was the first song I had for the mix that I was planning before any of this news broke that she was back with David. But it had to go on this mix as well. Before all this Kelly news, I had been wondering if she was alright so this song fits perfectly esp. considering Kelly’s love of privacy and disappearing.

This song stood out to me the first go around with David. I know that we only read what the press prints but he seems like such a bad guy and she seems to be blind to it. I chose these lyrics (although the whole entire song fits) thinking of how many liars she may have around her and she has such an amazing ‘soul’ and ‘fire’ (ie her commitment to her diet, producing amazing roles for women), things that make her who she is and are the reasons I love her so. I don’t want anyone to take that from her.

Fans are still here, waiting, watching for her to perform or give a hint as to how she is doing. We watch reruns of ‘The O.C.’ and I, for one, think of her or Kirsten and Sandy daily still and the show’s been off for how long? Simple everyday things remind me of her.

More than the lyrics, I really enjoy the sound, tone of this song. It’s mournful, slightly hopeless, which feels appropriate at the moment. Cuz didn’t we just do this a year or so ago?

#1 - David Gray is one of Kelly’s favorite artists. #2 - I think maybe she’s making excuses to be with him, ‘ready to settle down’, ‘getting too old for this’, 'he's the father of my child', but I think she’s too good for simply settling. Also, it seems like she’s a bird without wings around him. She wants to fly but is bound from doing so. Hiding from the press, frowning in pictures, exhausted during interviews.
