Am I old?
I bought my house Dec 6, 2004. I bought my first new car Jan 31st 2003. I moved 1200 miles away from everyone but my mom on August 29, 2002. I left apartment renting, breaking down cars, and my family. I left everything that I knew. I started making really great money during the refi boom of 2001-2003. Things were good for me. I was definitely middle class, for the first time in my life. And then boom, no job in 2004, then I started on the upswing again and then bought the house. Then lost a job, then got one and so on and so forth. And while right now I have a job, it's not secure, and it doesn't pay shit. I am barely paying the bills and I'm not really sure how long I'll be able to keep going.
Do I want to keep going? Struggling like this? Or do I want to get rid of the house somehow and rent a cheap little apartment back near my family? It would be tough to go back in time. I don't know if it could be done.
Anyway, just thinking. LOTS.
