Having spent the past few weeks alive and free, with the opportunity granted of possessing a distinctly clear head on my shoulders, following the weeks after high school graduation, I have come to a wise realization-life is really little more than a series of inherently “good” and/or “bad” occurrences. And, as everyone has said before thousands of times, “without the bad, people would be unable to appreciate the good.” But personally speaking, I believe whatever shit life decides to throw, it is all majorly a matter of how one interprets their surrounding circumstances. By this I am not necessarily advising that if, for example, one finds out his/her younger sibling has procured a fatal disease, he/she should proceed to laugh in the doctor’s face in an effort to cheer him/herself up; I merely suggest that when the moment comes that bad news is dropped upon a person’s head like a ton of bricks, react, but don’t allow it to determine mood for the remainder of the day. Feel free to smile at the complete and utter devastation the world has become because, if you don’t, no one else will.
PS: I've finally understood the meaning of "emo." It's like discovering the meaning of ny last few years of existence, sadly enough.
