^^Me and Forrest of Hellogoodbye
Tonight was a good night...well for the most part. The interview seemed to blow up in my face just a little bit. Stupid shit like that seems to always happen to me. Next time I am quadruple checking that every piece of shit is in that bag before it gets into the fucking trunk of my car. Anyway...met Dave Melillo and his band, Hellogoodbye, and Cute Is What We Aim For. Dave Melillo was nice, although he seemed a little unhappy with the music industry...Hellogoodbye were great but my general impression was that they have let their fame go to their heads a little bit. Especially Forrest, who is convinced he is the shit...but u know, it's all good. Cute Is What We Aim For I didn't even expect to show up to the interview, but they did and in the end I am glad I got to meet them. They were really nice, really down to earth guys. That is the one thing I love about bands just starting out. They are honestly the nicest people you will meet in your life (well, most of them). And they generally don't try to hype their band or whore themselves out either...just nice people that you can have any conversation with and not feel like "wow, this is so-and-so from so-and-so I am talking to!". At the end of the day, gentleman and ladies in bands are just that. No, contrary to popular belief they don't have superpowers. Although I'm sure 4est would beg to differ. =)
