I am back from New York City!
I got back at about 8:30-ish tonight. I had sooo much fun.
OK
THURSDAY.
From what i remember, school sucked. We didnt do much, But it still sucked, a lot. I remember we watched a movie on David Blane...and me and Julia couldnt stop laughing. And Mr Houlihan gave us nicknames. Julia->Gidgit...Me->Bubbles. That makes me sound like a stripper or something. But anyway.
Then after school Julia, Kristina, and I walked to Cafe and met a bunch of people there. Dan,Jon,Andrew Stewart,Tiffany,Ashlyann,Mark and some other people were there. But there were way too many people and i didnt feel good and K/J didnt want to be there so we walked home. They went to K house and i went home. I slept for a little while...then i started packing for NYC.
FRIDAY
I woke up really early and then my grandmother, myself and a friend headed down to Maybrook, NY. That is where my uncle and aunt live. It was the forst time i have ever been to their house and it was soo crankin cute. My aunt is really cool so it was fun to hang out with her for a while.
So we spent the might there and then left their house around 11-ish.
SATURDAY
On Saturday we headed for the Big City. We got to our hotel at around 1. We stayed at the Pennsylvania Hotel. After we checked in we went right around the corner to see if the line to the Empire State Building was long. And it was. So we ate at the restaurant right there. It wasnt that great and it made me sick for the rest of the day.
After lunch we just walked about 10 blocks to Times Square. It is b-e-a-utiful. And yes Julia...I danced for you. Then it was about 4 so we went to 42nd street (the theatre district) and went to see Phantom of the Opera --the movie-- and it was excellent. I saw it in Boston before and personally the movie was better because it explained more.
Then on our way back to the hotel, we got dinner. We went to this Korean restaurant. I never thought i would eat Korean food. And it was actually okay. Then we went to the hotel and that was all.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, we woke up early and got some breakie then hit the road. We went to the ESB and rode the elevator to the 86th floor (the top). It is incredible how beautiful Manhattan is...and how huge Central Park is! After the nauseating look down, we took the metro to the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art). Let me just tell you...i could live in that freakin place! It is like heaven to anyone who likes modern art (me). We ate lunch at the cafe in the museum and it was okay. We went to the museum store and i got three prints.
We went to Grand Central Station and walked around. They just redid it all and it was pretty amazing. All Marble and stuff. After that we went to TS and walked around. We stopped for a quick drink at a cafe and then took a metro to a little Italian restaurant in SOHO. It was extremely expensive. We asked if any like celebrities frequented and he said "ya, Nicole Kidman just left". O well. It was goo though. We went back to the hotel and crashed. we had walked a lot that day.
MONDAY
We got a quick bite to eat at the Starbucks on the corner (heh) and then packed up. We stored our bags at the front desk and then left. We took a metro wayy uptown to 81st st, to the Natural History Museum. That was extremo boring and took like all day. Then we went back to TS to a high end cosmetic store called Sephora. It was crazy. Didnt buy much.
We had to go get our car out of the garage by 1 so we zipped back and checked out. Then we drove to Greenwich Village and went to a little place called Tea and Sympathy.
It is the best place in NY besides the MoMA. It is a little cafe that is run entirely by British people. And its all food and tea rite from England. AWESOME. I got some stuff form the little store.
From there we headed home and i got to my house at around 8:15. It was soo fun. more friends have to go with me next time tho.
:)
enough detail for you?
