In other non-news, I was just now watching
The Long Good Friday, off Film4 the other day. What a very fine film. Among the expected crowd of 70s London acting faces, though, I was slow to recognize a very young-looking Pierce Brosnan as First Irishman (not a speaking part). It made me think: other cases of someone who later became a big star, playing a very small part in a classic film? The only one I could think of off the top of my head was Harrison Ford in
American Graffiti. But you guys can do better than that, surely?
