Last entry of the year

Jan 01, 2006 01:21

So this is probably the last entry I am going to write in the year 2005.

Our White Elephant gift exchange last night was so much fun. It felt so good to be around everyone. We acted like we've never even been apart. It was incredible. Lets see there was Susan, Leslie, Margie, Amanda, Carter, Kelsey, Dixmo, and Kato. It was tons of fun.

Then when I got home last night... it struck me that our girls get together last night was the last time we'd be getting together like that in 2005. And who knows how soon we'll have a get together in 2006. But, it was definitely a good ending to 2005. no doubt.

Let's review some things from the past year:

I have been with Jeremy since xmas season 2004. That seems weird to say lol. But it is true. I've had an amazing boyfriend for a year, and that is so much more than i could ever dream to happen to me.

We finished up our kick ass senior year. I happened to absolutely love high school, and whether or not you want to admit it (all of my friends) you did too. Think about it. We had a HUGE conversation last night just over all of the stuff we did in high school.
All of the things that happened in biology like trueblood assigning us seats thinking he was gonna be all smart and we all pretty much just moved acrossed the room lol, him pulling a squirrel out of the freezer, emalie's mishaps: EWWW, you've got fly guts on your NUTS!!! (I MEAN NOTES) and the infamous OMG I GOT SQUID SPERM IN MY EYE!, the invention of slots, SASQUATCH, and oh so much more. April Fool's Day brought the senior girls to mrs. millers room to pull a little prank... taping her chair on top of the desk, putting streamers all over her room, and turning every other desk around. I'm so glad she didnt kill us. lol. throwing food in the cafeteria and the crazy lunch lady coming out going "What are you girls doin'?" 5th grade P.E. class, now everyone bend over and yell i love dix! Harassing Tommy last hour "I'll take ya to the donut shop" and you cant forget the truffle shuffle lol. oh how i miss that class. Then of course our senior prom!!! all went well, and oh how i miss spirit weeks. Graduation came just a little bit too fast. It's hard to comprehend that those days are in fact...over. We went to the Vu grad. night. It was a good time lol. Of course, now each of us are branching off and making our own mark in the world. Many of us are off to college, and some are just working. The message I want to get acrossed the most is that all of these things have made who we are. Our town, Our friends, our fights, our memories, and personal experiences each have shaped US. you cannot forget where you came from. The thing that hurts me most is when people say "Ugh, I never want to step foot in that town again!" WHY? Look up above, our lives were filled with laughter. Forget about the little high school drama, it's not important anymore... GET OVER IT. Just be thankful. We've had so many memories and inside jokes it is impossible to capture them all. I wish our life was a book, so we could never forget all the things we've been through and all the good times we've shared. All we would have to do it read it, and it would be like the Notebook where we go back and live it all again.

So back to some memories... parties always make for good ones.
Granted that this did not happen in 2005 it was still funny... Miss Dix cartwheeling down my stairs. frickin Hilarious!
Katie knocking me over in my chair on my birthday. Our random hotel parties.

CORNERSTONE 2005 included: our GA neighbors from Camp Skidmark bringing a baby pool filled with lake water and two little fishies, Our other neighbors (Camp Nasty) having the dirtiest campsite in the area, good times at the nightly raves, our daily trips in town and the one where we came back with fairy wings, blasting Hanson throughout cornerstone and having random people sing along to it, our frickin BUBBLE GUN, that we squirted during shows and whatnot, and on our way home we drove through apollo mart blasting the horn and shooting bubbles... was quite a sight to see., and of course we have never been dirtier... literally.

well i would like to continue this... but it is now new years eve... and i am supposed to work at 10 in the am. and its coming up to 1:30. so that means not much sleep for me. ooh well, i dont have much going on anyway so i guess im gonna come home and take a great big nap so i can stay up all night!

and the only appropriate way to end this: (those from wagoners class know whats up)

One Clap, Two Stomps, and a BIG thumbs up for 2005!
