Title: Amrita Author: undying_desire Pairing: GTOP Seunghyun/Jiyong Rating: PG-13 Genre: one-shot, tragedy Summary: "I pulled the trigger on the gun I had aimed at my heart." ________________________________________________ ( Read Amrita . . . )
This was a very fascinating variation on the concept of the original Greek mythos. I really enjoyed the general mood and overall atmosphere.
What caught me most about this piece though was the obvious differentiation between Jiyong and Seunghyun. I truly like stories where Seunghyun is much more reserved, it feels realistic to me in this sense. The slight "Frankenstein" feel of this work is also intriguing.
Once again, a fantastic piece of work, my dearest!
Aw, I'm glad you sat through this one. I can't believe how long it ended up being. *Cough*
I honestly hadn't got into the Adonis myth until I heard it referenced to so much in the community. Once I researched it, I just had to write. Haha, and I never thought of Frankenstein but it really does fit the story.
Oh, that was so good. The hurt/comfort/angst was just perfect, and the AU plot worked nicely in this one-shot. It was very easy to follow; you did a great job on the exposition. Thanks for sharing!
I find that those of us who read on a regular basis (even if it IS just fanfiction :P) have very vivid imaginations, and hugely detailed exposition of AU worlds isn't necessary. I mean, unless you're creating some alien world that is so totally different from our own that we'd all be sitting around going 'Whaaa?' if you didn't explain why the characters breathe nitrogen and cannibalize each other or something... Was that weird? That was weird, wasn't it? Anyway, what I mean to say is that your fic was the opposite of a complete and total failure, and I enjoyed it a lot.
As for *my* fics... Goodness, I feel like I've been dumping garbage all over g-top recently, but you're more than welcome to pick through that mess if you'd like :P
That's true. ^.^ These fanfictions are amazing for expanding our imaginative ability! People always post things are so far out and it just makes you sit and think for a while. I'm really glad that it's like that though. xD Haha, and cannibalistic aliens would be very odd. . .interesting.
You must have had a burst of inspiration if you've been working so hard. And thanks for the welcome back but I'm not sure how long I'll be around. I tend to show up for a few days and vanish for months. *lol*
i think this is one of my favorite stories that you have written, although i admit i wasn't that fond of the way it ended. But then again its always hard to enjoy the end of a good story.
Haha, I think I'll take that as a compliment since it's your favorite. xD It took a while to decide how to end it. And as you see, I settled on a kind of cycle of death and life. It was a bit rushed. T_T Thank you for reading, dear! ^^
woah. So Seunghyun brought Jiyong to life again... I love it so much because I really felt the bleak atmosphere and the subtle beginnings of an affection. You really did great with your descriptions so thank you for writing another beautiful story :)
