Mike spotted Jack heading towards the elevator.
"Jack!" He ran after him. "Hey Jack, about the Kessler case. I thought maybe-"
"Mike," Jack said curtly, "I'm sorry, it'll have to keep until tomorrow." Distracted, he stepped into the elevator.

"What's with Jack today?" Mike asked Connie as he slumped into the chair next to her desk.
Connie smirked without taking her eyes from her computer screen. "Just that time of year, Mike."

Jack strode across the green grass. A white rose bouquet in hand, one for every year. He couldn't let himself forget. So he came back every year, another rose added to the bouquet, to remember.
