this weekend ruled.
this weekend was amazing. we had like the worst luck EVER but it was still so much fun and we laughed a lot at ourselves and our situation. i think i will be the first one of the group posting so i get to tell everything. it started out with a very long drive down to new braunfels because we hit a lot of traffic. when we finally got to the campsite we requested a site near the bathhouse and the guy gives us this huge secluded lot about 5 feet away from the mens bathroom, so all weekend long there were men walking right by, and sometimes through, our campsite. that night we set up camp and went to dinner at a restaurant in town. the wait for the place was like an hour and then as we were waiting for our food, it starts raining on us cause we were seated at an outdoor table. our waiter zachary kyle justin made it better though cause he was hott. when we got back to camp our stuff was flooded out. the tents and bedding...everything was soaked. finally we got in bed, just long enough to get woken up at 6:30 in the morning to screaming drunk people and tons of cops. it was crazy. finally we got on the river in our tubes and everything got better. after lunch we went back for a second round of tubing and just as we got going in, it starts clouding up. it starts raining again, while we are stuck in the water. it was freezing and me and cass fell into the river at one point. when we got back to camp our stuff was all damp AGAIN. we started a fire and cooked up some potatoes, corn on the cob, and beans. it was delicious. after dinner we sat around the fire and had girl talk. it was cute. this may have been my favorite part of the trip. today we just woke up and headed back to dallas. we stopped in austin to see greg's sweet new pad. i cant wait to visit when school starts. now i'm exhausted. i wish steff, erin, and michele could have all come. i guess this just means we'll have to take another trip soon. <3
p.s.- i forgot one of the best parts of the trip...a policeman gave us beer! he wasnt working of course, but he was there with his family i guess, and came by and gave us alcohol before he realized we were underage. he didnt seem to care though. it sure was funny. oh yeah! i almost forgot about the other beer we found under the tree. some dude left his chair and black bag sitting under a tree on our campsite. im assuming he set it there while he was in the bathroom and forgot it. well, seeing as how it was on our property, i decided to be nosy and see what was in the bag, and it was beer! so heather grabbed a few and zipped the bag back up. about 10 minutes later this guy comes and takes the stuff, never knowing he was a few beers short. haha
