Every time I flip through the pages of ELLE, Harper's Bazaar or any fashion magazine, a rush of hope and passion shoots through my bloodstream and jolts me into eagerness like a shot of heroin. I read a bit about Mariah Carey in an article that Michael Gross wrote for Vogue's Fashion Rocks issue and a part of it touched on Mariah's past, which she explained had a bridge-and-tunnel background. She drove out of her restricted past of limited funds and food in the family's inventory, armed herself with ambition, and now exceeds Elvis's record for most number one hits, soon to challenge the amount the Beatles currently holds.
I'm going to be a fashion writer, whose name will be common and on the tip of every fashion conscious person's tongue, and do all I can to become one. Eventually I'll be a style director and, who knows, editor-in-chief? Wherever life will take me, I'm ready for the ride.
AKA I'm suddenly pumped for life!
