i will continue to post my art on this journal.
this is my newest finished project for school (and, luckily enough, it is very meaningful to me in spite of being an assignment):
that's my beautiful mother. i love her so much.
pencil and watercolor on watercolor paper
10 1/2" x 11"
the look i was hoping to achieve was that of a color photo with the saturation taken down to the point where the color is very very subtle and pale, or the look that a hand tinted black and white photograph has. i think it turned out well (looks very much as i pictured it in my head). and, more importantly, i think it really looks like my mother.
