Long time no write. Hm, what have I been up to? Well, working at work has been very busy. A couple of weeks ago I spent a fun Friday there until 11:30. I've also been doing a fair bit of work at home after I get home. It's just that time of year when we're really busy and things just have to get done. The tax thing is moving along too. I like it, but I don't think I'll do it again next year. I think it's becoming too time consuming for too long and I really feel like I haven't done anything since January. Oh well. I've learned a lot and I've enjoyed it.
Spring is waking up and I'm excited about that. It's sunny in the morning. And it's not dark when I leave work. Aside from the temperature ping-ponging back and forth, it's nice to see spring coming. I feel so much more energized when there's sun in the morning and the evening. I remember that I like mornings when there's light and I feel like the day is going to be a good day, and not just another hum-drum sort of day where you're a bystander to your own life. I'm not saying this is how it actually works, I'm just saying that's how I feel when it's dark when I get up vs. when it's light. I love mornings sometimes. It's soooo refreshing (and I might be alone here in thinking that).
However, this whole early daylight savings time is bugging me. First because now it's not as light when I first get up, which is prematurely early in terms of a time change. Second, how in the hell did that debate come up as high ranking on Congress' plate of things to discuss. War, budget, secretive administration, oh, let's move daylight savings time by a couple of weeks on both ends! I don't care about some b.s. story on saving energy. Seriously, don't they have more important things to debate about than DST?? It's mildly irritating to me.
In other thoughts, it's St. Patrick's Day! Happy, happy! I'm Irish, so that makes this an especially fun day. (Yes, I also realize the original meaning of St. Patrick's Day and my heritage, but I will happily succumb to what it has (d)evolved into here in modern day). Today I plan on doing laundry, getting my oil changed, driving my dad & Jeannie to the airport (they're going to Maui), and then going to my sister's house for a lovely dinner party and some fun! All in all, it should be a good Saturday :)
