CHARACTER
NAME: Sakura Kinomoto
FANDOM: Card Captor Sakura
AGE: Twelve
GENDER: Female
POKÉ-PROFESSION: Trainer/Ranger qualities
HOME TOWN: Eterna City
CURRENT TOWN: Eterna City
APPEARANCE: Sakura has bright, vivid green eyes and short brown hair that comes down to her shoulders, that she often ties up in twin bobbles or with some other form of decoration. She also has a cowflick on the top of her head. She often wears skirts though sometimes wears shorts, and her clothing is usually simple but sometimes patterned.
PERSONALITY: Sakura is a very kindhearted individual. She always wants to help everyone and anyone, even if they don't always want her help. She always tries her best to find a good quality within everyone and thus ends up with a lot of people, and further on pokémon, rallying around her due to her kindheartedness. She can be very determined and sincere and will always try her best to complete a task even if it seems impossible. She sometimes doubts herself, but when she does she usually cheers up pretty quickly when she's encouraged by the people around her.
Sakura also always values her friendships with others. She treats everyone equally and is completely loyal and devoted to those she cares about. For her brother and her father, she is close to them and she often shares her hardships with her father if need be.
Despite her pluses, Sakura is very naive and sometimes a little bit too trusting of others. In the ways of the world she is not deliberately ignorant, but there are a lot of things she doesn't know about so she can be easily manipulated, but the people around her tend to save her from such situations. Whenever she's confused she tends to quizzically ask 'hoe?' to the situation.
She does however, have a more frustrated side that tends to come out around her brother, as he's very overprotective of her and likes to tease her for being late, or slow, or so forth. Despite that Sakura does care for him and appreciates him worrying about her, despite the fact it can be sometimes annoying when she's trying to do things by herself. Touya is also responsible for Sakura's fear of ghosts, stating they were always around as he could see them, and she couldn't. Her fears kind of multiplied themselves when she had a run in with a Ghastly in the forest next to her hometown, and she always seems to go pale whenever Ghastly's are mentioned.
ABILITIES: As such, Sakura doesn't have any abilities beyond her ability to friend most pokémon, and trainers, that she finds, no matter their will to be enemies to her. By this she often creates strong bonds with her own pokémon and even the most untrusting, unruly wild pokémon can be swayed to her.
HISTORY: Sakura has lived in Eterna City all her life with her father, Fujitika, and her brother, Touya. When she was three, her mother was involved in a fatal accident and thus passed on - even though Sakura doesn't remember her, her father always has a photo of her to decorate the house, and thus Sakura feels close to her.
As a child, Sakura was fairly sheltered and didn't stray too far from the house - mostly from the fact Touya, though insisting always that he wasn't, was following her and making sure was safe. When Sakura was six, she did however, sneak out early one morning in the direction of the mountainside. Whilst playing near the long grass where she knew pokémon hid, she heard a whimpering sound - and found a pokémon lying there, injured and hurt. Devastated and immediately worried for the poor thing, Sakura spent the day collecting berries to feed it, countless types in case it didn't like them, and collecting tree leaves and branches so it would be comfortable. That said, she came home with a lot of unexplainable bruises and a story she refused to tell. This pattern continued for a week, until on the seventh day Sakura returned to find the pokémon sitting up and waiting for her - it flew round her once, then disappeared into the sky. Only later did Sakura learn that this pokémon was in fact a rare, legendary pokémon of myths when she shared the story with her father, and she has always hoped to see it again, though she never has.
Regardless of meeting an unexpected legendary pokémon, a trend began to form when Sakura went out and about places. If there was an injured pokémon, she would always, though startled and sometimes scared of its appearance, try to help make it better. She soon earned herself a reputation for it, and though her brother protested that she would get hurt helping wild pokémon, her father gave her permission - as long as she was always careful. Which, Sakura was.
When she was nearing eight, Sakura met one pokémon that would change her life forever - a Teddiursa separated from its mother, and hungry, too. After said Teddiursa was healed back to health, it had nowhere to go, and proceeded to follow her home, even though she tried countless times to tell it it couldn't stay. That was when her father came home from his job, and decided, seeing the bond the two had formed, that Teddiursa could stay. Thus, Sakura made a lifelong friendship with Kero, the Teddiursa - who, unsurprisingly, didn't get on well with Touya.
At ten, Sakura deciding to try to become a trainer, though she was doubtful. The day before they travelled to Sandgem to get a starter for her, Touya woke her early, took her out in the wild, long grass, and caught a pokémon for her - saying that, she wouldn't want a starter like everyone else, and that she'd probably sleep in anyway and miss the event and not get one. Sakura immediately kicked him for that and stalked off.
Still, she did sleep in late and not get a starter- so maybe Touya wasn't so far off the mark to get her one whilst she had to wait for the next opportunity.
After spending a year travelling around, Sakura has earned very little in the ways of badges, but has helped many people with problems and to solve a problem for various pokémon she has encountered, wild or in the care of trainers, and made many friends. When she does fight and train her pokémon she always tries her best and refuses to give in until the end. She spends a lot of her time at home again, though sometimes spends days at a time scouring the local area and sometimes beyond in search of those in need, to help pokémon and trainers that need her assistance.
