[ There were a few things that Hawke was now absolutely sure of, things that he had perhaps, taken advantage of once, but were now glaringly obvious

[ Abruptly, Hawke ceases walking, and it's obvious that he's stopped to look around, even despite the fact that his head is now out of the camera's view. ] Hello? [ He stops walking, and warily slides a hand up, drawing one of his wicked curved blades from his back, just in case. ]
Maker I have spent too much time in the sun...! [ This is mumbled to himself beneath his breath, as he continues to look around, grip on the device tightening, but ready to drop it and draw his other blade in a moments notice. ]
[ It takes him another moment, but he finally figures out where the voice is coming from, and he stares down at Morrigan with a bemused expression. ] Well well. What do we have here? [ He smiles wryly, but is still wary. Perhaps half expecting her to hop out and attack him. You can never be too careful about these things! ]
A piece of what? [ Give him a moment, he's sure he's heard that word somewhere before, but probably wasn't paying attention when it was said. Either that or he was busy killing the person who said it. Either way.
And just because he's cautious doesn't make him an idiot Morrigan. 8| ]
No don't tell me. "Technology". Right. [ He prods at it for a moment. ] So let me guess, you have another one of these things, somewhere? [ He initially considered going down the 'you're stuck inside of it' route, but that's just silly. ]
Correct! [Everyone is an idiot to her. It's just the nature of things] It seems I was underestimated your intelligence level. You are perhaps, slightly above Alistair. I have another of these devices with me, which I am using to speak to you.
Oh my dear, I get that a lot. [ He laughs then, grinning down at her for a moment, before shaking his head a bit. ] Alistair? You mean King Alistair?
[ He can't help but wonder what sort of relations the King might have had with a woman like this. Regardless, he shakes his head. ] If you would humour me for another moment, where exactly are we?
[ He can't help but chuckle a bit at that, shaking his head slightly. ]
I should certainly hope not! There are still so many things left undone. Women and men left untouched by my mere presence! Truly a great shame. [ He isn't entirely serious about all this, which is evidenced by the slight curl of a smirk at the corner of his lips. ]

[ A pause. ]
You sure you're not a demon in a mirror? Because you know, I've had a run in with one of those. It wasn't pleasant.
For the demon, that is.
[ He shakes the communicator a bit, as if shaking it enough should make her just fall out.
At least he's not trying to break it. ]

We are in the Underworld, a land of the dead.

[ He definitely wonders though, if this is something he probably shouldn't be bringing up because seriously that tone of voice, Morrigan.
But this train of thought comes to a screeching halt (as does his pace) with the other's words.]
The land of the what?

[She only hates him a little bit. Only a little. ]
You need not worry, more than likely you are not dead. Yet.

Oh indeed, I'm not sure how they will survive without me. Honestly, my friends are probably all falling to pieces at this very moment.
