[It had taken her a while to figure out the tablet. It was a technology she wasn't exactly familiar with. But once she had gotten the basics of how to work it, she was able to explore what it could do.
Her face appears while she's still messing around with the device. Obviously she hadn't realized it was already recording as she doesn't really say anything for a moment. It gives the camera time to pick up the whole picture of her face. Her left cheek was developing a bruise just above the jawbone. It was fresh, probably no more than a day old. And there was dirt smudged across her skin here and there.]
Alright, I think I got it.
[She taps the device with a finger, right over the light that indicates the camera, causing her image to flicker under the shadow of her thumb once or twice. She finally starts talking in a wry and weary tone. It's apparent she doesn't think anyone is really going to see this.]
So, here I am, sitting on a dock I've never seen before. I'm pretty sure I've been knocked unconscious because that is the only explanation that makes sense. Here's hoping I don't wake up in a vat of liquid or something like that. So subconscious if you could send someone my way to talk to, that'd be excellent.
[She rubs her jaw, opening and closing it, obviously trying to stretch it through the discomfort. She also rolls her shoulder, touching it with her fingertips lightly. Apparently, it's not just her face that hurts.]
And maybe throw in some endorphins. I'd really rather not spend this dream still feeling the rest of me.
