I'd say it gets easier, but I think we all know that's not the case.

You're right, it really isn't. [There's a soft sigh.] Though I'm sure they're better off back where they belong.

Eventually you learn ways to make it easier. [A pause] At least we get that comfort when people leave, at least when it comes to most of them.

[notquitegeisha]

[She's quiet for a few moments, thinking over what's been said.] Do you mind me asking which ways you've learned?

[wasinnocent]

It's not a choice most people would make, but, it's mostly just to not let yourself get too close to others.

[notquitegeisha]

I wish that was something I could easily do. [She does try, but it never works out.]

Easier said than done, right? Especially in a place like this where you don't really have anywhere to run away to.

On days like this, I feel it'd just be easier to hide out in my home here. [She sighs.] Though that would be giving into this place, wouldn't it?

I don't think there's anything wrong with doing a little hiding now and then.

I suppose not. It would give one time to pull their thoughts together.

Or to ignore thoughts completely. Either one.

Very true. [She chuckles.] Thank you for your advice. I'll probably be working on using it.
