[The video cuts on as though of its own accord. There is no static, no hesitance, and the woman holding the tablet, her expression determined and slightly aloof, doesn't appear to be holding a tablet as she addresses those who see the feed.]
Many of you have been expecting an explanation for a long time. Others have received information from these individuals and are worried as well. Why do they torment us so? What do they hope to understand by taking us from our semblances of lives here and subjecting us to horrific and deeply personal experimentation? Allow me to explain.
[She breathes for a moment.] I am called Themis. Balance is my domain, and our dearly departed Hades and the, as yet, still living Hecate have upset that balance. Your home worlds are on the brink of utter annialation. I possess the power to set all to rights, to return you all to your homes, no worse for wear. But I wonder, should I? Your worlds are all broken, diseased things, and your people have seen to this themselves. Should they be saved? And so, you remain. I mean to use you to determine whether or not your dismal little shards of reality are worth saving.
[A gentle, almost motherly, smile curls the very corners of her mouth.] Sadly, many of you disappoint, but my children will continue to test you. I do hope some of your questions have been answered.
