[Bobby returns to consciousness with a pained groan, head in his hands. He slowly swivels his head around, taking in his surroundings. A massive cave, a river, a bony sonofabitch in a robe

[There's another. That makes at least two. Bobby nods, a slight smile on his face. He was trapped back in the Underworld, but he was glad to see Anna regardless.]
Yeah. It's me, Anna. Guess they liked my work so much, I got brought back for an encore. [the joke is wry, and not exactly heartfelt considering his raging headache, but he still feels the need to make the attempt.]

[And a ridiculously relieved angel lands next to him a second later and catches him up in a big hug.] Oh my god, I'm so glad to see you. [She's sorry that he's been dragged back to this place, of course, but so many people are either confirmed gone or have just now turned up missing...hell, she'd even be glad to see Crowley, the rat, but Bobby is much, much better.]
[If it had been anyone else at all (with the possible exception of Ellen) Bobby probably would have bitched about the hug. But damnit, he liked Anna, and had no doubt that the Underworld hadn't let up in it's tricks while he was gone. So he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her just as tightly.
[The boys will be all right for awhile. Right now, it sounded like his family here needed him just as much.] 'm glad to see you too, kid.
[She holds on for a moment longer before stepping back, shoving a lock of hair behind her ear.] I'm not sure whether you showed up at a good time or not. We're not being swarmed by anything right now, but people have been either brainwashed or temporarily replaced by...evil clones or something, I'm not sure which, and...[She twists her hands together anxiously.] I can't find Cas. Or Ellen. Neither of them's answering their comms and Cas hasn't turned up on Hecate's board. I was getting ready to go search when your call came across.
[Bobby nods once. Forget getting settled, they have work to do. He checks his pockets. Revolver, silver knife. It's not much in the way of weapons, but it'll do and if her worry is any indication, they needed to get searching sooner rather than later.] Right. Then we'll start lookin for Cas, see if Ellen shows up on the comms.
[Ellen knew how to take care of herself, and if the past had proved one thing, it was that a disappeared Cas normally meant bad things. He also.. really wanted to see him. Alive. ]
[He's not the only one. Caught up in whatever the hell's been going on in her own head since people in their circle had begun vanishing one by one, Anna's been horribly neglectful lately. According to the network archives, she completely missed at least one major emergency and isn't even sure how. Cas managed to get out of that one without her help, but if something's happened to him now while she simply wasn't paying attention...]
Have you talked to the guys yet? That was gonna be my first stop, then his usual haunts outside of their place. [She smiles wanly.] And I know they're gonna be thrilled as hell to see you.
I've been gone awhile and they've managed just fine. Few more minutes ain't gonna hurt none. [And while he won't admit it out loud, he needs to see Castiel. Alive and whole and unpossessed by anything resembling a Leviathan. He straightens himself out. He hates flying, but it's the fastest way to get around, and the sooner they do, the sooner they can find Cas and give both of them a little bit of peace of mind.]
Let's go. Sooner we find him, sooner I can call the boys.
[He takes a step as they land, reaching out a steadying hand to the couch. The house was silent, save for the insistent mew of Leppard, who instantly began headbutting his calf. Absently, he reaches down to scritch the cat's ears.] You've grown, cat.
Hn. Place is too quiet. The boys have to be out somewhere.
Steady, there. [Anna leans down to give Leppard a pat, calling out] Cas? Dean, Sam? Anyone home?
[She does a quick walk-through, checking doors as she goes, and comes back, shaking her head.] Maybe they're out looking too. [As she passes by the kitchen, she notices that Leppard's food bowl is empty and her water dish is running low, and stops for a moment to quickly fill them, swallowing against a tightness in her throat. Cas might absent-mindedly forget to feed himself, but he never neglects his cat.]
[Straightening up, she comes face to face with a clean, empty coffee pot sitting innocuously on the counter, stares at it for a moment, and turns on her heel, striding back into the living room.] Nobody's here. Let's go.
[The library was just as quiet. It was odd, seeing his usual table clean and unoccupied, but he was gratified to see that everything he'd been working on, the whole of his research had simply been moved to Sam's table. The old hunter smiled faintly, all of his work was neatly filed, tabbed and organized.
[Even the reading table that Cas occasionally used was empty. The more empty places they came to, the less Bobby liked it. Where in the hell was everyone?]
