[there's no time for proper introductions. when the feed starts, everyone on the network is greeted first with a shot of the pilot's chin, then the rest of his face as he settles the device a little better. looks down into it.
if anyone pays attention to the background, they'll see what looks a hell of a lot like an assault rifle. picked it up along the way? you're damn right he did. and now he's mumbling to himself as he turns away long enough to let a shot ring off and something heavy and wet-sounding hits the ground behind him -] I should never have said anything about zombies. Shoulda known it was gonna come back to bite me in the ass.
[and then he looks back to the device, brows raised beneath the edge of his hat with a look that clearly says he's nowhere near as perturbed by this situation as he probably should be.]
Hey, not that I'm complaining about the welcome wagon if that's how things are done around here, but - [another shot, another sickening thud.] somebody might wanna tell these guys they're a little too hands-on with the greeting. That, and I don't think trying to bite someone's face off is a great way to say 'welcome to the neighborhood'.
[a third shot, and right about now he's wishing that zaeed was around to tone down the recoil. if he gets knocked down on his ass, he's toast.]
