[ The device knocks on a few minutes after the siren goes, completely accidentally. It's been dropped to the floor and nothing but that mist is visible on screen. However, there is the sound of a female voice, cursing and obviously trying to hold back sounds of pain. ]
Th'... Ahhh! [ There's the sound of something - someone - falling as Kate drops to her knees, grabbing her head. Why did this keep happening? It was like a million nails being drawn down a chalkboard, every single time this mist came. What was it? They - whatever they were - hadn't taken her to those torture chambers, yet. So what... what was it? ]

[ Her hands scramble for the tablet before Kate pushes herself back up, gripping it tightly and stepping back as quickly as she can. The sounds, the vague shapes of those monsters were beginning to surround her. ]
Shit-- [ Though she pulls her gun out, aims shots, Kate prefers to take off, jumping high and hoping to reach some sort of platform. Thankfully, she has that much luck, even if she hits the roof with far too much force, rolling across it, winded, and the tablet spills across the floor. ]
Ah... [ She reaches for the tablet once more and brings it up to her face. ] Dunno what's been going on. Has-- has anyone been rescued? [ Those who are attentive may notice that Kate's sunglasses are missing and her hair is dull and in need of an injection of colour. Roots and dirty white-blonde doesn't suit her at all. She's speaking factually, as there's no point in getting hysterical over people she doesn't know that well. But she's seen enough, looking through the feeds reluctantly. Torture was all too familiar to her - more often sent to oversee it than actually suffer it - but what in the Underworld was going on? ] Can't...
