Some new trick of the gods. I found myself covered in the same wounds as the ones I experienced in the nightmare.

I don't know. Mine was not pleasant, but perhaps others will have better luck.

Aveline are you all right? [ The concern in his voice is obvious, as is the way his brow furrows, one hand on the tablet, the other moving to collect his things quickly. ]

[There's a deep cut on her cheek and her hair is a mess (you won't ever see it like this again). Her voice is hoarse.]

Yes. I'm fine. You haven't experienced anything yet?

What is going on? What new game have the Gods of the Underworld concocted for it's fine citizens? [ This remark is annoyed; bitingly sarcastic. Garrett is beginning to grow tired of the way that he and those he considers dear to him are so easily toyed with. ]

[She shakes her head.] Nightmares, apparently. I was attacked during mine, when I awoke the wounds were still there. I seem to be the only one affected, so far.

[Audio]

[A little sharp with worry:] Aveline? Do you need help?

[Audio]

[Her voice is still a little hoarse.]

I am.

Nothing strange has happened to you?

[Audio]

[leaporfall]

I keep - catching something out of the corner of my eye, but nothing more than that. [There's a hint of strained unease there despite her dismissive words. Being shadowed by something - anything - in the Underworld can't possibly be good.] Are you sure you're all right?

[Audio]

[shieldwall]

That is... strange. Be careful. [Aveline hasn't experienced anything like that yet. She clears her throat.]

Yes. [She almost sounds like she's giving a report.] I inhaled a large amount of smoke in the nightmare, that seems to have carried over as well. The other wounds I can bandage myself. [And then more reassuring, but a little shaky.] I've been through worse.

Ah, you shouldn't talk! Your coughing might get worse!

[She's never heard this voice before. Why do the gods keep bringing children...?]

I'll be fine. But thank you.

I won't say that you should be resting but...try to take it easy.
