...He arrived here in his thirties. He was nearly fifty when he died. [She hesitates -- how best to phrase it...] Does this mean he'll be alive again in the time I come from?

No. Unless of course he comes back to life in your future.

[Another, more considerate pause.] I don't get it. If you have the power to do things like this -- why bother with something like these games you're playing?
