Not exactly. No one is born a mage where I come from. We study scrolls and texts to become them. What I am is different. Guess you could say I was made this way and to learn spells we have to fight monsters to learn their attacks. But it's not guaranteed we'll learn it straight away.

Nah you fight them and hope they use it, when they use it, you kill 'em and hope you've done enough to learn the spell by absorbing it. It's gruesome.
