[As soon as the feed clicks on, sound pours out of it: a low but loud rumble, and those with better knowledge of the inhuman might be able to discern that something very much alive is making it. You don't have to think long, though -- the source soon drops into sight from wherever it was (the view is a wide shot of the area, large enough to reveal full body images of two figures, one considerably larger than the other) and even before it touches down, the creature growls again, this time with a single hissed word:]
S.T.A.R.S.
[Effortlessly, it lifts the enormous rocket launcher on its left arm and swings at the smaller figure -- Jill, for those who recognize her. Bonus points to those who can: she's younger, ten years' worth, her hair short and brown and her previous catsuit ditched for... a tube top and leather skirt. She quickly jumps back to avoid the blow, but Nemesis is a step ahead: a tentacle lashes out, instantly piercing through and out the back of Jill's right shoulder.]
Augh--! [Just as swiftly, it retracts, ripping from her skin with a splatter of blood and grey-brown fluid; she grasps the shoulder with her free hand, the injured arm gone limp and obvious pain gripping her face -- even so, her trembling fingers remain tight around her gun. The creature lets out a deafening, earth-shaking roar -- and then charges at her, leaving her to dive aside in the nick of time before recovering in a roll.
For those who watch for another half a minute, the scene doesn't change all that much: Nemesis charging, attacking, Jill running and dodging, occasionally clipped by a blow that sends her flying before she forces herself to her feet again. Her movements soon grow slower, her efforts more labored as her wound continues to pump fresh blood down her side, finally to where she can rarely give herself enough time to hold her ground and return fire.
It's an obvious and desperate game of cat-and-mouse, and one that Jill's running out of energy to play.]
