I'm fine. I'm coming to get you. [ She isn't sure she wants to try and explain over the network, but she shakes her head. ] We're... Okay, this will sound weird, but I promise it's not a lie.

We really are in the Underworld. We were brought here by Hades because the gods are playing some kind of game. [ Even as she says it, Elena finds it hard to believe, and she's been here for months. ]

Hades? Like the guy from Hercules?

Yes, but not the cartoon. He's real and he's in some kind of war with another goddess. [ Elena had been failing history when she'd been whisked away -- she was never entirely sure who 'Hecate' was supposed to be. ]

This isn't a joke.

[ Caroline isn't hard to spot once Elena arrives on the dock. Seeing her in person is different even from watching her on video. It's been months since she's seen someone from home, and she can't deny the relief at seeing Caroline. ] Caroline!

[ Almost instantly once Elena is beside her, she's wrapping her arms around her friend in a tight hug. Probably too tight. When she pulls back, she knows she owes her friend an explanation. ]
