It was probably more than a little messed up that Junpei was glad he was in the Underworld again. When he had been away it felt like everything had been a dream, his time in the Underworld blinked away at the sound of his alarm clock and dismissed as one case of bad burgers. He had spent three and a half months back in his own world, living as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Well, nothing beyond defeating Shadows, witnessing several deaths, and having to decide on how to handle the oncoming end of the world. Nothing every sixteen year old dude didn't handle every day, right?
Still, as soon as his feet were on the docks again he remembered almost everything. The good and the bad but mostly the friends he left behind. After separating from Annabeth's side Junpei made his way to where Laura was staying, his feet knowing the way even as he became lost in his thoughts. Little Dude was curled up on his shoulder and his hands stayed tucked in his pockets as he took his sweet time getting to his destination. Time had worked differently and he knew that now, thanks to Fenris and a couple others. He hadn't been missed. Not really. Except... Laura wouldn't lie. She had actually smiled. Junpei grinned as he remembered what she looked like with a smile, something that made him stop.
An idea came to mind and he sent a quick text to Laura, "Meet me at the library". After changing his direction, and taking care not to jostle the sleeping Little Dude on his shoulder, he quickly found his way to the steps of the library and sat down to wait for her.
