Shinjiro, having self-appointed himself as the dormitory cook at times, was nearby. He was shopping out of necessity; he'd ruined a shirt by staining and putting a hole in it, and needed a replacement. Looking over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of a familiar face. Normally he hated making small talk, but it seemed like a good idea to make sure she was alright.
Morgana looked thoughtful for a moment, recalling the strange name he had given her.
"Shinjiro." She smiled. Coming out here was a good idea. She much preferred speaking to people face to face, and it was a good distraction. None of these people knew anything about her. It was easier to fall into her old self.
"I am glad that you've noticed. Are you shopping too?"
He nodded, unenthusiastically lifting his arm up in which he had a chocolate brown turtleneck clenched in his hand and letting it fall back to his side.
"Stockin' up? Weird having to buy all your clothes at once, ain't it?"
Morgana couldn't decided whether to be amused or put off by Shinjiro's responses.
"Really? This length would be quite scandalous in Camelot's court." She reluctantly put it back, searching for something even more perverse. It was like a game.
He pulled a sleeveless top off the rack and eyed it with mild amusement, but mostly to show Morgana the super thin spaghetti straps that kept the shirt in place on the body. He would admit, he liked seeing a girl in a cute party dress, but not to the point where so much skin was shown and the fabric so tight that it looked 'trashy', like the girls that hung out in Port Island station intensely trying to attract attention.
"That would be one way to attract a man." Morgana looked at the top he was holding and made a face as if to ask where's the rest of it?
"Some of these are little more than undergarments..." She laughed as she pulled out some tube-shaped cloth, unable to sort out whether it was meant to be a skirt or a shirt.
"I think I might have to look elsewhere if I want to find anything." She gave an apologetic look at the man by the stall, but he didn't act as though he noticed.
He paid the disinterested cashier for his turtleneck, then whipped the purchase over his shoulder. His deed was done. Clothes shopping was like grocery shopping to him, just that it was done much less than the latter.
"Think there are other places around. I just come here. It's close."
"Looks like you're still alive."

She playfully waggled the short, modern dress on its hanger. "Is this what the women in other worlds wear?"
Reply
"Yeah. Seen'em shorter too."

She didn't expect him to agree, what young man wanted to go shopping for dresses?
