After having seen a man so like him in his own world so recently after years of no contact, of believe Xavier to be dead of all things, to come here and meet a Professor from another reality...that more than anything had thrown him, and there weren't many things capable of that anymore. He had his own questions for the Professor, such as what things were like in his world, why he seemed so surprised Mystique hated him for another.

He went to the location the Prof had mentioned, knocking gently but letting himself in also. It was a habit from long ago, when the Prof was in a wheelchair, and apparently old habits die hard.

"Professor? You around, homme?"

At the voice he looks towards it, turning his chair as he rolls on over into the kitchen area, where the entrance to the house is. He'll offer a welcoming smile and look up at the other man.

"I am very much around, yes. Welcome, Gambit, I hope you didn't have trouble finding the place?" And it would still take some time getting used to being called professor so much, but he didn't dislike it.

"Come sit if you like." he'll motion into the living room area, before turning his chair just a bit towards it, waiting to see what the other would prefer to do.

"Ain't many places dat can hide from Gambit, Prof." He nodded his own greeting and pulled off his coat, draping it across the back of the sofa as he approached. "Don't mind if I do."

He took a seat, leaning back on the sofa and propping up his boots on the small table before it, crossing his arms behind his head.

"I'm not sure if you're joking or being serious." He'll say honestly, but look amused none the less. And he'll frown a little at the feet up on the table, but not say anything regarding it.

"Now while I understand telling me some things might not be wise, regarding my future, or... possible future, I must say I am quite interested in anything you would wish to tell me." And he'll fold his hands in his lap, observing the other mutant.

"Or perhaps you have questions for me?"

Being used to getting frowns like that from most of the people he encounters, Remy wasn't too phased by the professor's expression. He nodded instead, at the question.

"Where'd you come from, Prof? And what other mutants do you know?"

"Manchester, New York. Or that is were I am currently located. Ah, was located." He'll correct himself.

"The institution is still not fully realized yet, though I am working on finding more mutants first. More of those who need some place to stay, to be safe." Until humanity can accept them. Can see they're not the danger they think they are.

"But so far there are only a handful of us, that I know personally, or have come in contact with. The ones with me currently are Havoc, Banshee and Beast. And there are a handful that decided to take Erik--" He'll close his eyes and sigh, hating that he still makes that mistake. The moment Erik left that beach he was no longer 'Erik' anymore.

"They have chosen Magneto's side. Azazel, who is here, Angel, Riptide and Ra-Mystique." He didn't know Emma had joined them as well, not yet. As far as he knew she was still locked up nice and tight with the CIA.

"Do you know of them from your version of things?"

He listened, gaze darkened, to Charles' story, and nodded at the end. "You ain't mentioned nobody I don't know yet, Prof. Which Angel you talkin' about, though?"

"A young woman, though she is more of a fairy than an angel I would say, wings wise. She can spit what seems to be balls of fire as well. Or something of the sort." And he remembers another mutant, one he wished had not had the fate he did.

"There was also a Darwin, he could adapt his body for most situations. He sadly was murdered in a confrontation with a power mutant named Shaw."

And then he just looked confused. "Angel's...sorta like a fly, what I remember." And he looked to the professor. "And ya knew Darwin?"

Merde, this world was weird. "And de names Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Warren Worthington the third, dey mean anything to you?"

"Hm, I suppose her wings could be that as well, I never thought of it that way." Fly, fairy. Some difference, right? He'll nod a the question about Darwin though. They hadn't known him long, but he had been a good man, a little older than the other mutants they'd found, but that hardly detracted from any thing.

"... no, no the names are not familiar." But in his search for mutants with Cerebro it was entirely possible he may have brushed some of their minds. Depending on if they were around at the time.

"But I'm guessing they will mean something to me, in the future?"

He offered the professor a gentle shrug. "Why I know de story, dey already names you should know, Prof. Scott Summers be Havoc's big brother."

"Brother?" His brows shoot up.

"I didn't realize he had one, he never made mention of it." And Charles never exactly poked around in his mind enough to see anything about it.

"I assume Scott is also a mutant? What are his powers?"

"Scott?" He chuckled. "Cyclops shoots plasma rays from his eyes."

His eyes.

Well then. Alex manifested plasma from his body and Scott shot it from his eyes. Sounded about right.

"Sounds like they have something in common, that is for sure. And the others you mentioned. What are their powers?"

"Jean's telekinetic and telepathic, t' name a few things, Prof. Warren's got wings, but with feathers. Called himself Angel till a bit of nasty happened to him. Den he went by Archangel. Bobby was on de team too, from what I heard. Bobby Drake. Calls himself Iceman." He watched the professor for any signs of recognition.

And he'll just furrow his brows, hands threaded together resting against his mouth. Hm. Another telepath who also had telekinetic powers? That could be extremely useful, if not hard to control he imaged.

"Amazing... it seems like mutants become rather abundant as the years go on. It will be much more difficult to keep humanity from loathing something that there is so much of..." He'll frown, wondering if that is still the grave issue he can only imagine it is. One day humans might not fear them, one day. He just hopes that day comes before his death.

"And you know, I don't believe I ever found out what your powers are, Gambit." He'll look to the mutant across from him, curious.
