In a place of constant change, a strange demi-dimension that acted as a nexus of worlds near and far and as-yet unimagined, one could find anything. On one block, Grecian pillars climbed into the darkness obscuring their suffocating ceiling from view; on the next, looming Gothic architecture dominated the landscape, fading further down into the American dream of a white picket fence. The Market at the Underworld's center served to further amaze: one could find outdated and as yet unseen gaming consoles, turn tables, Bluray players, and anything else you could hope to imagine. In all his wandering for a good meal to set for Harry and Annabeth, the one thing Thomas had never expected to find was a Chinese take-out joint.

That in mind, there it had stood, glittering paper lanterns adorning it's curling eves. And in he had stepped. It was like setting into Chinatown back home. For a moment, he'd even looked back, thinking he might have actually done just that. The low-slung tent of a decidedly Arabian-looking stall across the way had begged to differ. Exchanging Grecian Dinars to purchase some rather amazing smelling Chinese drove the point home and he made his way back to his small apartment.

After entering, he realized he probably should have cleaned the place up a bit before he'd gone for the food. Harry knew him for the slob he was, but Annabeth was coming also. For a moment, he was slightly chided by the ghost of Justine who flitted about his mind at random times, but it didn't last long. They were trapped in the damned Underworld for Night's sake. If she had a problem with his housekeeping, she could deal with it.

It wasn't like he was out to impress anyone.
