Which fit the nature of the city entirely too well for Bobby’s liking. He had been spending days (even to the point of riding out an earthquake) in the library, trying to come up with some common thread that tied everything together, or at least gave them some direction to start looking in.
To his exceeding frustration, he found absolutely nothing. Sharktopi, zombie attacks, a cave with odd carvings that seemed to indicate weavers, the kidnapping and brutal torture of many of the residents, including one (adopted) member of his own family - nothing fit together. It was all seemingly random, and he was not a man who believed in that much coincidence.
So when the call came out, it was a welcome, and badly needed distraction. The library held no answers. He had to get out there and start looking. Not to mention he didn’t want Cas out there on his own. He didn’t think the angel incapable, he just.. worried.
When they finally
touched down at the center of the Labyrinth, Bobby had to stop and take a few badly needed deep breaths. One quick trip was one thing, several was another matter entirely.
The odd carnival quickly took his mind off the dizzy, unsettled feeling in his stomach. Bobby regarded the desolate looking park warily. He hadn’t seen a place like that since Tulsa.
He really didn’t want to think about what happened in Tulsa.
