In-Character Information
Name (and age/-relevance if applicable): Manaphy (Age is 12, although its egg has been around since possibly even the beginning of time. It'ssss quite young. |D; Manaphy is genderless (and looks like it, too, for it's not really easy to determine whether it looks more like a young boy or a young girl), but for the sake of... not calling it 'it' all the time, let's call it a male.)
Series: Pokemon (a la Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the fourth generation)
Occupation or status upon arrival: Traveler, I suppose, he's too young for an occupation that I know of. :D;

Personality:
Manaphy is a Pokemon you would consider the 'typical young child'. He's definitely quite bouncy and fun-loving like a little boy would be, maintaining the mind of a little boy just wanting to enjoy amusement and anything related to that. His favorite thing to do is play, play, play, from the most childlike of games (building blocks, yo-yo tossing, catch, the likes) to sports and everything in between. Especially beach sports, ohh does he love THOSE. (Is that because it's near the ocean? Probably.) It is very much to the point of it taking the biggest role in his life at all, for he thinks life is all about fun and games. Because of this take on life, he doesn't really take anything too seriously and tries to look at the positive side of things.

This, of course, makes him oblivious to how wrong some actions and activities can be, which leads us to the next aspect of his personality: his mischievous ways. He likes to play rough, perhaps a bit too rough, and even doesn't mind the aspect of pranking and such things. He doesn't see the negative side of that at all, but rather, he sees it as a thing to enjoy and have a good laugh about, even if it means laughing at yourself. Making someone fall on their butt on a banana peel? One might find that rude (classic, but rude) and want to scold whoever did it, but Manaphy would just giggle and find it to be pretty funny. It's a hard habit for him to help, for that is how he's been his whole life and he was never reprimanded for it (thankfully for him, all the water Pokemon under the sea that he did it to only had a good laugh about it). However, he doesn't do very harmful pranks that would involve serious injury or even death. He's not dense enough to be unable to realize that.

Even through those habits, however, Manaphy is actually quite a sweet boy once a person gets to know him better. He's not outwardly very generous and giving, but he doesn't feel dislike or hate for most people at all and tries to see the better in them. In fact, he's actually generally a nice person to anyone, wanting to just be their friend and have happy times with them. People may be angered by his pranking habits and silly, goofball ways, at first, but once they see that he means no harm and actually just wants friends to play around with and care for, they may just be able to look at him with more respect (... or be eternally hateful toward him but y'know lol). Manaphy is, in the reality of it all, a child through and through anyway, so he's only innocently trying to enjoy his life in his own ways with other people.

Backstory:
((>3> I'm... pretty much acting as if the Pokemon Ranger games aren't canon (for Mystery Dungeon isn't allowed, so I'm not sure about another side game like Ranger), if this is okay.))

Deep beneath the sea colder seas, lying in wait to be hatched for many years (possibly even since the beginning of time due to the mystery shrouding how Manaphy came to be, for perhaps the egg was created once the world even came to be), there laid a translucent blue egg with a red gem pattern and a circle of yellow dots crowning the top. For the longest time, the egg stayed there and remained dormant, for unfortunately, this certain egg could not hatch beneath these waters. The ocean in this far off region is far too cold and this specific egg needed some warmer seas to hatch within. It lied incredibly deep in the ocean, laying there and waiting for the time for it to finally bust open its shell in the warmer seas... if anyone were to move it.

Of course, a human being could certainly not move it if it were so deep beneath the cold ocean water, so another solution would be needed. This came in the form of a stray Dewgong that just so happened to be exploring the area at the time, digging around at the sand with her flippers and searching for treasures. Along her way, she found Manaphy's egg half-buried in the sand, glowing only faintly for it lacked the warmth of the Sinnoh seas. She could sense something was wrong, for this egg seemed to have been there for a long time. The Dewgong assumed that it needed some warmer water since the cold water didn't seem to be doing anything for it, so she took the egg onto her back and swam away, hoping to find some warmer seas to leave the egg at.

This Dewgong happened to travel all the way to the Sinnoh region, just outside of Canalave City. It found it too dangerous with the human beings in the harbor, so she left the egg away from the path of boats and left to go back to the arctic. Manaphy, again, lied there in its egg, but this time, something was different. The warmer water bubbled around the egg a little, creating an almost fizzy effect as the egg began to glow brighter. Due to Manaphy's egg having been in existence for so long, Manaphy was already grown within apart from the extra water it needed (Manaphy is made of 80% water), that of which could be absorbed by the egg fast and quick. Manaphy grew within 24 hours, and soon enough, the egg began to glow very brightly.

Bam. Out of the egg popped the newly-hatched Manaphy, healthy and ready to go! Manaphy could only wonder where he was and why when he left his egg. He was just inside of a cozy little place, so why did he need to leave it? The baby Manaphy was left confused, and thus, he decided he needed to go explore and find out where he was. He rose from the water at around night-time in Canalave, just the time when none of the ships were leaving the harbor yet, so it was safe for him to travel inside the city boundaries. He swam forward and inside of the harbor area, crawling up onto dry land to take a gander. The city was so huge! What was this place? What was with the tall buildings? Why were there weird Pokemon with huge legs walking around? They had hair and a peachy color. That wasn't like the Magikarp and Finneon he saw in the water when he hatched!

He bounced over to a sign nearby, reading Canalave's name. It was a... city, whatever that was! So what did he have to do now? He felt odd being in this place with the odd creatures around, in all honesty, so he decided to just head back for the water and explore the seas. He felt compelled to go back to the colder seas for some reason. He felt like that place... was home. Naturally, it is in a Manaphy's instinct to want to go back to its birthplace in the colder ocean, and he was no exception. Thus, Mana took the time to travel back there, just for the sake of being able to stay at and live in his home waters.

Once he arrived, lucky Manaphy got to meet up with the same Dewgong that helped him hatch. She recognized the patterns on his body as something familiar and quickly connected it to the egg. Manaphy stated that he wanted to stay here and live here because he felt like he belonged her, and Dewgong happily agreed to it. Thus, he decided to stay with Dewgong for about ten years of his life, treating Dewgong as if she were his biological mother. Manaphy never felt happier, finding this life to be one of the most fun things in the world. He never had a thing to worry about and had so many friends beneath the sea! From Magikarp to Seel and many other water Pokemon, he befriended them all (err, at least almost all of them). They always played with him, talked with him, generally showed him things, all of that stuff.

However, his mind went back to the city he hatched in front of one day. His homeland was here, but his hatching place was in Canalave. Should he stay or should he go? Perhaps he could only travel a bit. Then he could just come back to his real home with Dewgong and the others. Thus, he informed Dewgong of this, and she heartbreakingly allowed him to go on his journeys. Manaphy of the sea wound up leaving, not trying to let his heart grow heavy. He looked on the bright side, knowing that there was possibly a big world to explore and plenty to do. From that day forward, he explored Canalve for a while and then moved on to see many cities, going through towns and even different regions in the past two years. He learned so many new things, like some of the simpler basics of the English language, the fact that the 'weird Pokemon' from before were, in reality, humans, the way some of them lived, and other such things.

Around the year he hit 12 years old, he encounter an odd new land that he'd never even seen or heard of before. He looked at one of the nearby signs. Diamond City? What kind of place was this? This was definitely a new one, and it looked like one of the biggest cities he's ever seen! Thus, he decided to head into this town, possibly even to stay for a little while. It was so wonderful! Hopefully he could fit in here with these strange new people!

What brings this person to Diamond City?:
Manaphy encountered Diamond City via his usual travels that he's been going through for two years on his own. He decided to head into Diamond City and stay there for a while (possibly... more than he thinks he will, ohohoho), hoping to just have some good ol' fun and maybe make some new friends. Prank some people, too, if he can. That's some fun stuff.

Misc. Notes:

- Manaphy LOVES swimming and exploring. Those are his favorite things to do apart from playing and pranking. Water aerobics and adventure are right up his alley!

- He doesn't know a single thing about some more... profane things. He doesn't even know what swearing is and how babies are made. (All he knows about that, honestly, is the fact that 'baby Pokemon come out of big circle things'.)

- His vocabulary isn't really that extensive. ): He's very young and only just recently learned more English words.

- Yes, the jewels on his body are 100% real, as real as a Sableye's eyes would be~ They could probably go for a high price, but they're very attached to Manaphy's body and thus, he can't part with them without a world of pain. 8C

- He doesn't know about humanization at all yet. He is... going to need help with that lol. Once he can turn into a human, he'll be in human form most of the time. Speaking of which, here it is~

- He doesn't know anything about relationships or even the concept of boyfriends/girlfriends. He just thinks two people who are 'together' are just really close friends who want to live and play together.

- He frequently uses the phrases 'phy' and 'phi' in his speech out of habit. He can't detach that much from his Pokemon language yet.

- Manaphy has not bred Phiones yet, but if someone wants to app a Phione, it could certainly be arranged somehow if it'd be allowed. Although it'd be odd for a 12-year-old to breed but Manas can breed straight after the egg in the game anyway, as well as other 'mons, so. >3>

- His moveset is Bubble, Water Sport, Charm, and Tail Glow. His special ability is Hydration, which cures status ailments on Manaphy if there's rain in the environment he is in.

- Most importantly, HEART SWAPS! Manaphy is nowhere near level to control Heart Swap as a full-fledged attack yet, that is for sure. However, although it can't control it, it does still maintain the ability, which can be unleashed completely by accident occasionally if Manaphy wants to play BIG time (as in, being extremely excited and full of energy, thus unleashing its heart swap energy unintentionally). I'll only ever unleash it if I get permission from both muns involved to do it and it won't be an all-the-time deal (like I said, only occasionally, I don't know if or think the mods would want it happening all the time, because that'd be havoc). To keep organized, I might only hold the occasional heartswap event if the mods allow me, idk. What Heart Swap does is switch the souls of two people and puts them in each other's bodies, pretty much a body swap, which will last for a couple of days tops. :3 If the mods don't approve of this possibility, please disregard this part of the app.

- His birthday is May 13th. His height and weight in Pokemon form is 1' and 3.1 lbs respectively. His height in human form is 5'2" and his weight is... idk how to determine that but he's sorta skinny.

Example Post:

Phiiiii, I really like this city! It's very big and very nice! I see a lot of the funny humans here and there's tons of them, but I think I saw some pokemon here too! They look really cool, I hope I get to play with them! Does anyone like to swim? I like to swim. Swimming is very fun, does anyone else think it's fun?

It's funny to press the buttons this way and it's a little hard. It is taking a long time. Can someone help me to press the buttons easier, phy? They're big... phiiiiiii...

I'm Manaphy! Hi humans, phiii! What's your names? *He waits. No one is responding yet. Does he have to do something else? Oh what does this post button do- POSTED.*
