we had a guest lecturer in psych of human sexuality today. She is a staff member here at the school and she happens to be a lesbian. Her lecture today was about sexuality and how society has made sexuality an issue

i think the thing is this. powerful white christian straight men are in charge of everything. and they're like, "let's STAY in charge of everything. that will benefit us the most. let's do whatever it takes." then gay activist groups, feminist groups, anti-racism groups, etc., all protest, and the white men are like "but... but... i don't get it! you guys don't matter, right? just us? okay, that's what i thought. right, let's keep going this way. they'll quiet down eventually." it's not that they think they ARE giving rights to people, or that they feel the economy is balanced - they have a sense of entitlement that THEY deserve the best and other people who aren't like them are fucking it up, so they don't matter.

there are many people that believe everything they say is right, and those who disagree are wrong. like, they can't possibly understand the concept of different people leading different lives. 'cause, why, when you can be just like THEM?

i dunno. it's all pretty silly, really. these issues all seem simple and obvious, but people like to complicate stuff because they're retarded. sigh.

yeah, this issue will probably be like all the past similar ones of slavery, sufferage and interracial marriage.... i guess all it needs is a few decades and some social evolution.

i hope it doesn't need a few decades, but based on the history of our nation, i'm sure it'll take a while. women and blacks haven't even had the right to vote for a full century yet.
