MEDEA
ok, so obviously yesterday was the last day of ACTF. it was sad, i didnt really make any friends from other schools, so all of them leaving didnt really matter, but the fact that i can't just spend 24/7 with all my friends anymore sucks.
but anyway, i saw this INSANE production of "Medea." Concordia University in Irvine did it. and i must say- HOLY FUCKING WOW. For those of you who dont know, Medea is a Greek play by Euripedes and its a tragedy of course.... BUT the take this school did on it, was that they set it up as a 50s tv show. The outside of the set was a tv box, and the actual set was the front porch of a house, all painted in gray and white. The program was set up as a tv guide and the fucking best part of the show........ get this- the costumes were black and white and THE WHOLE CAST, WAS PAINTED IN BLACK AND WHITE! their ENTIRE bodies were painted and their faces INSIDE THEIR MOUTHS! i mean EVERYTHING. it was amazing. the acting was PHENOMENAL and the whole concept and the way they pulled it off.... just, i cant even do it justice. If that production doesnt get sent to Washington DC for the finals.... some heads willl roll.
why am i up at 11:48????? i should be sleeping... and in fact, i think i am off to go do that... or call people. hrm, i dunno.
