Oh, that was just lovely. It will definitely go in my to-rec folder, and get reread whenever I need a smile. Thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us.
I love Sheppard Junior - group projects are the work of the devil and teachers in my experience always tried to "even up" the groups. Good for her for getting back at all of them.
It's interesting that you switched it around. AUs tend to have John living by the ocean for the surfing and Rodney in Pasadena for Cal Tech. This way works beautifully too though with Rodney doing the business thing and John as a family man.
Wonderful characterization, great banter. I enjoyed this a lot.
I'm so glad you liked this! When I saw the prompt, I knew it would be a stretch to make John a relationship coach because...well, *John*. But then I figured that making him the worst relationship coach ever would be lots of fun! *g*
Absolutely fantastic - I loved every sentence of this. The chemistry between Rodney and John was so evident from the start. There were also some great comedy moments in there which made me laugh out loud (which isn't like me). Your Cadman and Shep Junior are great supporting characters.
I was addicted to Harlequin books as a teenager. I've sometimes been tempted to go back but know now that they wouldn't be the same after being immersed in slash. Thank you so much for giving me the best of both!
I'm so glad you enjoyed this! I was a big fan of romance novels myself as a teenager, and when I got into SGA fandom and saw all the Harlequin-style stories people were doing...it was like I'd gone to heaven! *g*

(one tiny nit-pick, it should be "Banff". Otherwise, perfect!)

Thanks for catching that misspelling! You know the sad part about that? I actually googled and then still managed to type it wrong. *g*

(And you just knew Rodney was hooked from the moment he met Carly.)
