Author's Note: This is kind of long, and all the song titles I'm using are connected, and each one can kind of stand alone. I'm just too lazy to think up separate titles, so I'm grouping them all under one.
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Supernatural. They're owned by the CW. However, any and all original characters are mine, so please do not use them without my permission.
“Where ya goin’?” Dean asked, catching Anna’s arm as she started to pull away from him.
“Just for a walk,” she replied with a smirk. “I need some air.”
“Some air, huh?” he said, giving her a wide grin. “Can I come?”
“Not that kind of air,” she replied. “I’ll be right back, alright?”
“Alright,” he nodded, letting her go. Anna headed out the backdoor and wandered out into the woods slightly, leaning against one of the trees to give herself some space to think.
Not that there was much for her to think about-not a lot had been going on lately, and things for the most part were actually relatively normal. With the exception of the creepy feeling she had been getting that she was being watched whenever she went to town. She wasn’t sure exactly what was going on, but she didn’t like being stalked like that. She never had.
She ran a hand through her hair, and was getting ready to head back inside, when she spotted it. A flash of shoulder out of the corner of her eye, and she turned suddenly, cursing herself slightly for not bringing any kind of weapon with her. She started to move a bit further into the woods, keeping her eyes peeled for whoever was out there, when she heard the sound of a shotgun being cocked, and she turned back to see the two barrels being pointed at her. So she did what any sensible person in her situation would do.
She ran.
She only got a quick glance of him but her first thought was that it was Gordon again. The last thing she was going to let him do was get his hands on her again, and so she ran like a bat out of hell, dodging shotgun rounds as she went further into the woods. She knew these woods like the back of her hand, and she wasn’t going to draw fire back to the boarding house. All she needed to do was lose him in the backwoods, and then he would be lost, and she would be able to wander her way back to the house.
After a while, she reached a clearing and stopped hearing shots and her feet slowed, looking around cautiously as she moved. Her head tilted to the side as she listened, trying to filter out the noises she didn’t want and focus on footsteps or rustling, anything to give her a bearing on where he was. She continued to move still, breathing heavy and going away from the house still.
Once she was certain that all was quiet, she started to make her way back towards the house. She was about to cross the threshold back into the woods, when she was thrown back slightly. She frowned before starting to walk forward again and meeting the same result. She took a few deep breaths to keep herself calm before looking around to see what the problem was. She finally looked down at her feet and noticed the etchings in the ground. She found her breathing quickening as she started to panic, starting to pace around and try to find some kink in the drawing that would let her out, but she couldn’t find one.
She was standing on a Devil’s trap, and she didn’t know how to get out.
She tried to calm herself down, taking deep even breaths, when she heard some rustling nearby her. She looked up, and saw a woman step out of the shadows, with a self-satisfied smirk on her face. Of course he’d had a partner.
“Gotcha.”
Fuck, Anna cursed in her head, staring back at the man in dread. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Back at the boarding house, Noah sat up slightly, frowning in confusion. He closed his eyes, concentrating for a minute, before opening his eyes and turning to Dean.
“Where did Anna say she was going?”
“Just for a walk,” he replied, glancing down at his watch. “She should have been back by now, though.”
Noah started to get up and Gina gave him a look. “Where are you going?”
“I think she’s in trouble,” he relied, picking up the shotgun resting on the table behind the couch.
Dean shot up slightly, “What kind of trouble?”
“Don’t know,” Noah threw a coat over his shoulders. “But she’s panicking and I don’t know why.”
“I’m coming with you,” Dean replied, getting up as well.
“Me too,” Gina nodded. Noah gave her a look and she smirked back at him. “When are you going to learn that I don’t let you go anywhere alone?”
Noah smirked back before nodding. “Let’s go then. We don’t have a lot of light left.”

Anna was sitting on the ground, knees pulled to her chest, rocking back and forth slightly. She could tell that this wasn’t what the hunters were expecting. If they had dealt with demons before, they probably were expecting a demonic reaction. But Anna wasn’t giving them a demonic reaction, considering she wasn’t a demon. As far as she knew at least.
“C’mon, demon. Aren’t you going to fight back?” The man crouched down next to he, trying to get her to look him in the eye.
“I’m not a demon,” she said softly.
He smiled, giving her a look. “Then tell me, why are you stuck?”
She returned the look, but she didn’t smile at him. In fact, she looked more annoyed. “I don’t know.”
“You react to holy water-”
“I flinched when you threw it at me.”
“-you have abilities know one can explain-”
“Lots of people can do things other people can’t explain. Does that mean the world is full of demons?”
“You’re stuck in a devil’s trap.”
She sighed heavily. “Yeah-I have to come up with a reason for that one.”
He smirked. “If it looks like a dog and smells like a dog-”
She raised an eyebrow at him, before shaking her head. “First of all, you did not just compare me to a dog. Second of all-I. Am not. A demon.”
“Give me one reason why I should believe that.”
Anna bit her lip for a minute. “I don’t flinch at the name of God.”
“So you’re only three for four-”
“Two for four,” she corrected. “If not one.”
“Nonetheless, it’s still not looking good for you.”
“Look, don’t you think if I was possessed, I would have shown you evidence of my demonic nature already?”
“Guess that’s why you’re confusing me here,” he said, giving her a smirk. “Why am I still seeing your pretty eyes?”
“Guess I’m not a demon.”
“If you’re not a demon, then you’re something else. Most likely evil. Which means we’re still not letting you go any time soon.”
Anna sighed, before burying her face in her hands. “I’m not evil, damnit.”
“Isaac!” His partner had come back, a bit of a concerned look on her face. “Someone’s coming.”
“Who?” he frowned, getting up and going for his gun.
“Don’t know-dark haired woman, and she’s packing.”
“Just her?” he said, getting up, and the other woman nodded. “Then let’s go take care of this. She’s not going anywhere.”
Anna watched them closely, feeling the fingers trail along the edges of her mind, searching for information. It wasn’t until a little while later, that Isaac and his partner disappeared into the forest, and she was left alone. That’s when two men emerged from the bushes. Dean gave her a smile before offering her his hand.
“C’mon-let’s get outta here before they get back.”
“Can’t,” she said, slightly dejected.
“Why not?” he frowned.
“Devil’s trap.”
“So?”
“I’m stuck.”
Dean looked confused for a minute, looking at her warily. “You can’t be stuck, because that would make you a-”
“I’m not a demon,” she said quickly. “At least, not as far as I know.”
Noah watched her for a minute. “It could explain the blackouts. With Pierre, and then with Gordon-”
“No!” she said, forcefully. “I’m not a demon.”
“I didn’t mean that in the bad demon kind of way.”
“Then how the hell did you mean it, Noah?”
“Look, not so loud, alright?” Dean said, giving them both a look. “We don’t need to draw any attention to ourselves.”
Anna nodded to Dean, before glaring back at Noah. “Is there any way for one of you guys to break this thing?”
“I don’t really think they’re going to have a chance.”
Anna glanced up and Isaac and his partner were back. Isaac had guns trained on Noah and Gina, while Tamara was right behind Dean, a gun aimed between his shoulder blades.
“Guns on the ground, boys,” his partner replied, and Dean and Noah obediently dropped the weapons.
“Now,” Isaac began. “Why are you three coming out to help your little demon friend?”
“She’s not a demon,” Dean spoke up almost immediately, and she flashed him a grateful look.
“And how do you know that?” the woman spoke up from behind him.
Dean smirked. “I’ve been hanging around her a while, and I think I’d notice if she was possessed.”
“So you’re saying that if I shoot her-” Isaac had moved out so that his guns were still trained on Noah and Gina, but he was in front of them moving towards Anna, and holstering one gun to grab her roughly by the arm. “-she’ll just drop dead like your normal everyday person.”
“You shoot her, I’ll kill you before she even hits the ground,” Dean replied.
Isaac looked amused. “That a threat?”
“It’s a promise.”
“Dean-” Anna began, shaking her head.
“Yeah, Dean, back off a bit,” Noah said slowly. “Can’t we just talk about this like rational people?”
“I’m sorry-I thought we were,” Isaac replied.
“Rational people don’t hold guns to people’s heads,” Gina spat back. “That’s something irrational people do. I should know. I’m one of them.”
“I just want to know what would happen if I shot her,” Isaac said, placing the gun against Anna’s temple and pulling back the safety. “Would she die, or would the demon keep her alive?”
“Dude, c’mon-” Noah sighed. “What’re ya gonna gain by shooting her, huh?”
“He’ll be dead before he can even pull the trigger.”
Everyone froze and turned in the direction of the voice. It was coming from Anna, whose hair had fallen in her face, but the voice was different, not her own. When she looked up, her pupils were ink black and she turned to him with a glower.
“You want me, you got me,” it said. “Happy now?”
