May I put my foot down on something?
In regards to the new Skinny Bitch trend popping up all over the damned city; I would like to say a few words.
VEGANISM IS NOT A PROPER WAY TO EAT.
Nor is it a way to properly lose weight, or sustain a healthy immune system.
We are omnivores by design, before agriculturalism there was hunting and gathering. Animal products are not the cause of the obesity epidemic, cardio-vascular disease, and cancer. The way people treat them is. When people have lowered themselves to eating pre-packaged scientifically enhanced, hydrolyzed, hydrogenated, unnatural garbage the love for food goes away, so does fulfillment, this leads to over eating.
If these "skinny bitches" want to advocate good health, they ought to foster a return to roots. To home grown vegetables, free range animals, and pure minimally processed food. Not bionic "chicken" substitute with nutritive yeast flakes.
Butter is not your enemy, neither is cake, or hamburgers- if they're made the proper way. With real, good ingredients. Eaten in moderation. Made with love, and consumed with an equal amount of appreciation.

Seriously, if you're looking for a diet book. Pick up The Physiology of Taste by Brillat-Savarin.
