Sims + Nightside (what could go wrong?)
I've been playing Sims Deluxe all day today, and by 'all day' I really mean 'six hours straight'. Then I went to Devin's, stayed until 8, came back, played another hour, read some Nightside, and now I'm here.
(Cheat tip: Press CRTL+Shift+C. Type 'rosebud'. Voila, $1000. Repeat until you're filthy rich.)
Devin and Jazz were fun as usual. I was given hugs and chocolate (along with a few french fries, seriously, they spoil me). We went to the park with Devin's little sister, came home, did stupid things (they held me down and tickled me), and I'm quite possibly going back tomorrow after class.
I also found this while out shopping. Here's hoping that Jasmine remembers the title by the time Christmas rolls around. (I also found this, but, um, expensive, and no matter how hot Tony Stark is, Bruce Wayne will always be more exciting.)
Random day-brightening moment: I opened object #1 to a random page and found an article on Firefly. Did it again and found a full-page glossy photo of Riddler up against a wall. Umm.
Mumz took me to Walmart yesterday, and bought me, get this-- not only Batman Begins, but Hellboy and August Rush, too, as early Christmas presents. Don't you just love the holidays?
Now, that aside, I find myself in an eternally-excited state of mind. Nightside-enduced, I'll have you know.
STaST is sitting on my desk, beside a half-empty glass of iced tea, because last night I couldn't remember whether King of Skin was the pretty one or the disease-spreading one (that's Lord Pestilence, fyi).
I have, thus far, not made it past page 208. Page 208 is, for the record, the page after the page where Tommy Oblivion gets killed by a mob. It's also approximately a page and a half after the page where John Taylor leaves Dead Boy to be ripped apart, and Razor Eddie to be eaten by a beast.
Selfish bastard.
I've already read Hell to Pay-- I know Dead Boy is alive and well and ready to help John on a new case. The Unnatural Inquirer is sitting on my shelf, hard cover edition, courtesy of a very nice lady at Indigo. I've, yes, also heard about this little gem scheduled to be released in January.
I'm, quite frankly, hyped.
