Okay, guys. Moment of Brutal Honesty.

I'm pretty much never embarassed by my choice in fandoms-- I mean I'm in Spy vs Spy (yes that is a link, I promise it's nothing weird, you might actually like it) for chrissakes, and I will pretty much stop there because otherwise you will all never talk to me again. NO SHAME. I have my oddities.
But recently I just got into a fandom called Marble Hornets, and it's not so much a fandom as it is something that exists, but you know. I would honestly not advise you to click that link unless it is the middle of the day and you have other people nearby, and are also fully aware of how pants-crappingly scary it is, because once you start watching I can guarantee you won't be able to stop. Don't take that lightly-- I know grown men who've cried over Marble Hornets. okay maybe not, I mean I cried, that has to count for something It's scary as hell, and two weeks after watching it I still sometimes go around the house late at night, turning on all the lights and closing the curtains, but if you can watch it in the middle of the day with someone else nearby, I reallyreallyreally encourage you to. It's delicious as far as psychological horror goes.
Um, but anyway, the point is-- I'm generally not embarassed by my fandoms (and as a rule I don't think anyone else should have to be, either). But if you know Marble Hornets, you will understand what I say when I tell you I am shipping J and Totheark, who has become Ark in my head, and feeling very very strange about it.
(There's a lot more to it, sadly. Like the fact that I'm convinced Alex and J were totally dating at some point. I don't know what's wrong with my brain.)
..to justify it, were any of you alive around when Silent Hill 2 was just becoming popular? no I wasn't either, don't worry This is kind of like Pyramid Head/James, I think. Except instead of a glistening muscular representation of rape and a sexually-deprived amnesiac sociopath, you have a stalker puppet-to-a-higher-being in a mask, and an adorably nerdy film student.

I'm about 90% sure that someone is going to come and murder me in my sleep for this, whether it's a diehard fan or Slenderman or freaking Ark himself. I fear for my life, fellow LJers, I do.
