As you know, 平成維新 (HEISEI ISHIN) disbanded shortly after the death of vocalist 拓 (Taku) in December of last year (you can read the whole chronicle
here). However, in the past few months, there have been a few developments with the ex-members of the band, which I thought I'd update you all on.
- Shortly after Japan's major earthquake in March, YUKKIE, JILL, Yoshi, and RAI decided to help the victims by holding a charity performance. Thus, on 2011-05-08, a four-membered HEISEI ISHIN held a charity event called RESTART at HOLIDAY OSAKA. Anjyu' and the solo project of Ryuuto (ex-ClearVeil) also appeared.
Through ticket and goods sales, the event collected 260,207 yen (~$3,500 USD) which was given to Red Cross Japan. - In July, YUKKIE and RAI appeared at Paradox Bar's 8th anniversary event at HOLIDAY OSAKA.
- Last month, on August 27th, YUKKIE, Yoshi, and RAI, along with JUKI (vocalist of Aigis, ex-vocalist of Anjyu') took part in a session band at HOLIDAY OSAKA. Here's their setlist:
01. KIRARISM (Anjyu')
02. Microburst (HEISEI ISHIN)
03. Yumehanabi (Anjyu')
04. Prism. (HEISEI ISHIN)
05. Kanka (HEISEI ISHIN)
01. Ruru-Ruru- (HEISEI ISHIN)
During the MC, YUKKIE and RAI announced that they would be moving to Tokyo together in September (until then having lived in Osaka). - Through his blog, RAI explained that he and YUKKIE decided to move to Tokyo to restart musical activities. He revealed that, together, they've decided to start a new band. However, as both of them are so defined by HEISEI ISHIN, they've decided that the new band will be HEISEI ISHIN.
HEISEI ISHIN's second chapter.
---
Yoshi is currently working at a bar and JILL, more or less, seems to have retired from music, so they won't be a part of the new band. In fact, it's not so much that HEISEI ISHIN is reviving, but rather, a new band called HEISEI ISHIN is forming. (Think of it like CODOMO A and Kibou-YA©.)
I should also point out that this second chapter of HEISEI ISHIN is not an UNDER CODE PRODUCTION band, but I'll continue posting developments until there's no reason to any longer.
