Spring 2004
So today was the first day of school. It didn't go as bad as I thought it would. My bio class is so tiny. Like 15 people tiny. Then again the whole campus is small. I still got lost though.
My bio teacher is one of those kinda nerdy guys. The kind that tries to be funny but really isn't. One of those. He likes to brew his own beer. He reminds me of Robin Williams. Something about his nose I guess. Class went ok. We just took a few notes. Nothing big. After class I decided to go price my lab book. That’s when I got lost. I turned left when I should have gone right and then up when I should have gone down. So I decided to try and find my way out and go to my own bookstore over here.
In class I realized that I didn't have my schedule. How the hell was I supposed to find my next class??? I called Matt and woke him up so he could turn on his comp so I could get on line and look up my info. I stayed at his house till 10 and then headed back over here to go to my next class.
Child development. The developmental stages of infants and young children. Blah. Yeah I know I’m gonna love the course cuz that stuff interests me but I don't like the teacher at all. Well, he's not bad looking... but that’s a whole other story. He told us that this is only his 2nd semester teaching this course. Once he started talking it was totally obvious. He changed so much stuff on us. From making the 2 exams 50% of our grade to only 25% of our grade and changing our project from 25% to an audience of children to 50% to an audience of adults and 'fellow educators'. Eh. Another one of those teachers that has no idea what the hell he or she is doing. Seems like I get one every semester.
Mr. child psychologist let us out pretty early so I got to go home and eat instead of packing my lunch and eating in on the freeway. I got a good 45 minutes to just rest. At 12:15 I headed back to bio for my lab. It was way easy. I'm talking middle school science easy. It would have helped if I had my lab book though. I just copied off another girls book. I got out about an hour early so I went to Matts but his niece and nephew were there and his nephew was sick so i didn't feel like sticking around. I got home about 4 and tried to get my classes in order. I have to go talk to the registrar tomorrow.
Right now I’m waiting for Matt to get here. Tonite i have to do a test run to Mission campus to see what exit i take and how long it might take me to get there. Fun. Better go though.... :P
