[ Clark looks back, boredly, and drives his elbow toward Jason's gut before he folds his arms again. ]
Do you think you're the first person in the world to lose people? To watch the criminals win while the people you love--while you hold them in your arms and watch as their mind goes, and their bodies just give up breathing. Do you think you're the first person in the world to want to kill the people who took those loved ones from you? The first one to die in the process? The first one to be betrayed, or used?
You don't stay and listen because you're afraid that some of the things I said will make sense, that it'll get through to you that you're the weak one; that everyone else is coping, and for once in your life admit that you're wrong and you're not fine, that you need other people's help, even if it means overcoming your own pride to accept it.
You have been given so much in your life. A name, a destiny, a family. You were trained, you were coveted and loved. But you never think of the good things, because if you accept that they are good then you have to accept that there is goodness in this world. That's why you belittle my words. That's why you shoot me in the face of my trust.
I love you, Jason, and I have been trying to help you ever since we met. I believe in you; even now, when you push me away the hardest.
But you don't believe in the world, and you don't believe in yourself, and as long as you refuse to there is nothing that I can do but speak the words that you refuse to even think and hope that one day they'll get through to you.
[ And now he's standing up himself, looking ready to leave. ]
I'll leave, before you do something stupid like jumping off this building yourself. You want to be alone, then be alone, but if you change your mind there's always fencing on rooftops. Just next time don't have a damn concussion.

[Jason doesn't even see the blow coming and it easily knocks him back on his ass, which is a good thing considering Clark's words. Jason's never heard that three-letter phrase before in his life. Not from Talia, not from Sheila, not from Willis or Catherine. Not from Bruce, even though he'd been given plenty of proof otherwise. He knew Bruce had once loved him, likely not the last time they'd spoken, but once yes. Still, Jason had insisted on his own extreme standards of proof, for validation and a physical, visible example that he could show to everyone. To show to himself. For a man who can kill someone merely by association or some slight suspect motive, he's incredibly hypocritical in demanding this proof from his former father.
Actually hearing the proof he had never expected from Clark is powerful, despite the scolding coming along with it. I love you.
I love you.
And for a brief, brief moment, there's a flicker of something in Jason's face. A child far from home, scared and unsure, a son trying to find his way back to his father, but the vigilante quickly does his best to cover it back up, to force it down.
Maybe--- no. He doesn't need help. He doesn't need Bruce and he doesn't need Clark. His path has been lined up by the world. It's the world's fault. Not his. Not his.
Still, he can't muscle up a quip or a cutting remark.] Whatever.

[ He knows he's gotten through, and at this point saying any more is just ruining his message. Instead of speaking he just squeezes Jason's shoulder with one hand, and then backs away to a safe distance, where the Kryptonite's power no longer effects him.
It takes a few seconds for the power of the blue K to wear off, and then he raises his eyes toward the sky to take off. ]
