[his transmission is a little static ridden, moreso than usual, almost like he's underground or there's a really decent amount of interference considering the normal clarity of most network posts. Caim doesn't seem to care, though, although he doesn't seem all that pleased, either. There's a distinct restraint to his voice, one part clearly holding ( Read more... )

[ audible blink. or a pause, anyway. ]

A... book.

An ordinary book?

Of course it's not an ordinary book.

Had to ask. What kind of un-ordinary book, then.

I'd feel terribly awful explaining to you what it is when you won't even be able to open it.

I don't really want you to feel terribly awful, but you're going to have to explain a little bit anyway.

I'm her Guardian, Caim. Anything that has to do with her goes through me first.

A long time ago, it was thought to have had most of the information you all seek.

It serves now mostly as an energy container, although, like the other two artifacts, has lost most of its strength to be of any use.

[ is pulling teeth today ]

What kind of information specifically, and why do you want her to have this?

It's a spell book of some sorts, but its littered with notes and history that supposedly pertain to Minerva and the seal. Which, I suppose would be everything you'd need to know to get back home. Or know if there is a way back home.

So they say, anyway.

I need a bearer for the book. Besides... wasn't it you who said to Ava Ritsuka wasn't going to be the last?

...I am going to assume, right now, that this is a book you haven't read or have been prevented from reading. I think a lot of people would want to know that sort of information.

[ and then a two minute pause ]

That will never happen to Uni.

[Nerve hit and have a filter break for a little bit of a loose temper.] -If I could open it and get you home, I would have done it a long time ago.

All you people do is cause trouble. It doesn't matter if you're a friend or a foe, if you're for us or against, you cause trouble. You take up space, you are needy, you are obstacles, you're prey, you die, you make us hurt, you make us live in reminder just how weak we've become.

And you remind me of what will never be.
