[It's late at night. However, one of the sims is occupied. Inside it is Athrun, running a sim. The particular sim he's running is the one Kira programmed ages ago to confirm whether or not a person possessed the SEED factor. Athrun is running it over and over again, in hopes that he can force himself to SEED and clear it. Unfortunately for him, it isn't working, and he keeps failing the sim.]
Rrgh! Come on... Come on! What are you afraid of, Athrun?!
[He runs the sim again. But as he does...visions keep floating in front of his eyes. The Aegis, running out of power and latching onto the Strike... The Destroy's hands coming at him from behind... Talking to Kira while Kira is in SEED mode... It planted a reluctance in the pit of his mind. And that little reluctance...]

[...Caused him to fail again. This time, though, Athrun didn't start the sim back up. He just buried his face in his hands.]
