I can, I remember when I first came here. It was right after the Gundam's were stolen. Shortly after I saw you. I had just destroyed Heliopolis by my own hands. Worse yet, the stuck me in the Brig and I had no one to talk to or help me get through it.
If it weren't for Shiro Amada I may well have given in to my despair and blamed ZAFT for what had happened. I may have become exactly what your father did.
And I also remember the bloody valentine incident. It was terrible, we were all affected by it. I may not agree with it, but I do understand it. I mean... how hard must it have been to be in power when that happened? How hard must it have been to realize that he had failed the people he was supposed to protect?
I understand that feeling. Its hard, and that's when its only a few. That was thousands of lives destroyed in an instant. I don't have to imagine what that feels like, because for a while I thought I had killed everyone on the Heliopolis. Yeah it ended up alright and I learned that most people had survived. But that easily could not have been the case.
Your father must be stopped, that is true. But I so not blame him for this. Faulting one man for a sequence of events almost entirely outside of his control would be both uncouth and pointless.
