Has it really been TWO months since I updated?

Fuck, Final Fantasy XI is far more evil than I first thought.

Welp, UPDATE...

After a good while incident free, a persistent problem that has been pestering my wife for the better part of a decade has returned. Her epilepsy rears it's ugly head once more.

Shortly after the time of my last update, my wife had her first siezure in quite some time (at least that I was aware of). Very creepy experience. We let it slide for a little while, then she had another. And then another. That 3rd one was bad, very bad. It was early on Saturday morning, and no neurologists were open, so we boogied up to the hospital and had her checked out. Now, this is where I got pissed the fuck off. The doc decided she should have an IV, for dilatin. Um, why? First off, I hate doctors, I hate hospitals, I hate physicians poking and proding, and I especially HATE needles. Gore doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I have a major hang up with medical instruments that is related to an ailment I had as a child. But we'll leave that alone.

So, anyways, I was very upset over the doctor just deciding this and not even asking us what we thought, yay or nay. I mean, it's for fucking SIEZURES, nothing life threatening... Only reason we went was so she could get a prescription for someting to tide her over a week or two until she could get to a neurologist.

After this came the worst part. The total on the incident in the hospital tallied up to be near 3K. My insurance don't cover too much when it comes to ER visits... I blew a god damned fuse. We were there just over an HOUR. I mean, 3K for an HOUR? You bitchtards need to rethink this... No more trips to the hospital, ever. I don't care if my splien is hanging out, I will gladly die before I put up with that crap. That's beside the point though. I'd rather die than have my wisdom teeth cut out. I will not allow surgery of any sort to be performed on my person.

Those bills were just the start of a long list. I have nearly gone in the hole over this. I won't allow that to happen. I'm not wrecking my credit rating and/or being evicted over siezures, period.

Last week she went and had an MRI and an EEG done. At least that was the last of it. I'm not going to pay for anything else for a very, VERY, long time.

That money is much better spent on keeping a roof over our heads and food on the table for the time being. I think Kayla could tolerate the siezures a good deal better than being homeless.

So, while all of this other crap is going on, my wife got layed off, the cost of my benefits went up astronomically, we sucked the savings dry, and nearly maxed out my CC... Thank whatever deity you worship for tax refunds. I *need* it.
