Well this has been lovely... two people I know die in less than a week.
First, I get a call from my mom on Wednesday. It seems an old friend of mine (Scott) from Port Jeff died unexpectedly under mysterious circumstances (i.e. - I have no idea how the fuck he died). His mom and my mom used to be very good friends, and we wound up working together at Stop & Shop. Apart from that, we would hang out and smoke constantly. Then, as happened with almost everyone I knew from that area, I lost contact with him - you know how it is.
Then I find out Shannon (Princess Fuckin' Hacksaw) died last night in a car crash. She was instrumental in the Long Island scene that I was a part of for a while, with Sisterblind. She was always at JD's in Farmingdale (ironically enough, I'm going to be there on Friday with Winterspell). She put together a lot of shows and always invited Sisterblind to be on the bill.
Every year, without fail.
But on a better note... NEW NINE INCH NAILS!!!!!! SOOOOOOO FUCKING GOOOOOOOOD!!!!
