I had an insane day.
Up at six with my dog puking on my bed. Thankfully she's not puking anymore.
Fed horses at the stable around 8. Took care of my horses until 11 or so, got a text from Paul's cousin saying he was at the house and the dog had been sick all over the house.
While driving home to assess the house and the sick dog, we almost hit two loose dogs on the road, no people or tags. That made me insanely angry, as I can't understand why this would be allowed to happen.
Miraculously found these dogs' house with mostly their help, with no one there but with the door open, and put them inside and shut the goddamned door. Took a big breath and stopped shaking.
Got home and saw that Pukey Pup was feeling better, and decided to go out and hike Mt. Monadnock. Five and a half hours later, we were summited and back, and my toes felt like they were falling off. Twisted my previously sprained ankle, ow, and sweat like a mad thing. On the way home, almost hit a deer. (GODDAMNIT animals, cut the shit!)
Got home and threw myself in the pool with the boys. Swam and had a generally great time until I got out of the pool at one point to retrieve a ball and really super duper wrenched my ankle over, making me fall down and cry a little bit. :( I'm no hero, that shit hurt like a bitch.
Hobbled inside, iced the accursed lower joint and ate pasta salad with a hotdog, and now I'm just ready to be unconscious.
Tomorrow is more AM fun with the horses and then driving to VT for various family parties, and that doesn't sound like any more fun than ankle ailments. lol My family is insane and, subsequently, make me insane.
Maybe I should post separately about the horses. That's a whole 'nother can of beans.
