Christmas Gift Event...

Dec 10, 2011 10:44

Okay, peeps, today's the day you need to ask for or offer something in the Christmas Gift Event!! If possible when asking for a drabble, ficlet, icon etc. could you offer something in return? Not mandatory, of course, and I'd be happy just to fill a request ( Read more... )

Okay, I am just throwing these out here. I have been making mental grabby hands towards them literally for years but never got around to putting them down on 'paper', and if anyone wants to nab one and make something out of it, that would be so very exciting ( ... )

I love the sound of them all because they're all flagging up happy endings!! But because you used a Henry icon and he being one of my favourite 'establishment' characters I'd like to snag that one!!

OK, I'll take msgenevieve's #3, because I always thought it was a shame that Michael's promise to Westmoreland never came about...I suppose there just wasn't time to fit it into all the crazy events post-escape...at least that's the charitable interpretation, it could be that the writers just forgot about it.

If anyone out there feels like writing a silly parody ficlet involving T-Bag and whoever is his current pocket-holding 'friend' being forced to dress as Santa and one of his elves and deliver pressies to the other FR inmates, I shouldn't object XD

I eyed that one too. It was always regretful that Michael was unable to fulfil his promise to Charles and while it's good of you to be charitable I think it's probably more likely the writers forgot about it. So looking forward to seeing that one!!

Santa T-Bag?!!! I love the sound of that one! If no one else picks it up I will have a go since parodied T-Bag is frightfully odd!! In the best possible way! I'm thinking leering T-Bag as he delivers his package (not a euphemism!!) to Pretty!!

I wasn't going to ask and would happily have tried my best to just fill someone else's gift request but this did come to mind...

Imagine there was a happy ending instead of the wrongness the writers tried to foist on us...it's Christmas Eve in the Scofield Household and Michael and Sara are sitting down to enjoy a well-earned glass of wine (or eggnog?) and talking about the preparations they've made for the children (they could have more than one by this time!) or the family visiting on Christmas Day. How would their conversation go?

*waves* I'll do it. Or to be more accurate, I did it and it's being fattened edited. And what's even more unbelievable, you won't have to beta it since a nice lady has agreed to help!! (I would have felt quite silly asking you to read through your own "gift" :-p)

Oooo I would love to take part in this, but I will sadly be away from my computer for the next 3 weeks, while I vacation in sunny Perth. I'm already suffering withdrawals lol

It would be lovely to have you taking part too, sweetheart! But enjoy your holiday in sunny Perth (don't rub it in; we're having really bad weather up here in the northern hemisphere!!) and maybe you could share some pics on your LJ when you get home instead? That would be brilliant!!

Now I now why you're counting down in FB!! Enjoy, my friend!
*hugs*

Well I'll just have to partake next time :D

I will enjoy it very much, I won't rub it in though lol, we've been having shocking weather here as well, horrible flooding, the worst that Nelson has had in more than 20 years, about 4 tonnes of soil and a boulder the size of a car almost took out a car earlier today. It's pretty scary but its not supposed to last much longer.

I will most definitely be posting sunny vacation pics when I get back and yes the countdown has been very successful lol

I really hope you can take part in the Valentine Gift Event I'm planning! Surely Michael and Sara (and maybe some lovely slashy pairings!) would be wonderful for February 14th?!!

Your weather sounds terrible so I hope it ends soon. I'm lucky in the south west of England; we have some nasty weather but nothing too extreme, thankfully.

Looking forward to some sunny vacation pics (while we're shivering in mid-winter!!) and have a great holiday, my friend! :)

*hugs*

Dear Santa, I've been a reasonably good girl. Now, I don't really know what I'd like, but I know what I don't want if it can help: pretty please, Santa, no dead or dying Michael - or other characters by the way - no total AUs, no mention of Christina Rose using "adopted" and "Lincoln" in the same sentence ^__^

Anything gen, het and/or slash with any combination of Michael and/or Lincoln and/or Sara would be great. I can't come up with a situation, but I can suggest prompts (pick as many or as few as you want): rivalry, snowed in, apologies, heart to heart, trust, jokes, secret, games, fireplace, affection, moonlight.

Or maybe a post-series Sara and Jane fic. Preferably gen and friendship, but I'm fine if you want to make it femslashy.

I'll be haunting checking the post for other people's requests :)

I'm glad you said reasonably!! ;) To be fair though you've kept the PB fanfic alive once again this year so in my book that constitutes being very good!!

no mention of Christina Rose using "adopted" and "Lincoln" in the same sentence ^__^

Amen to that!

I'll try to pick up something from you lovely selection and you can count on me not to give you dead or dying Michael!!

Feel free to haunt check!! ;)

I'm glad you said reasonably!! ;)

I'm lucid about myself ;)

Um. Let's say we write something for someone. Do we have to "claim" it here or can we keep it a surprise until the posting? And yes, despite all my whining in my emails, I may have come up with a little something. It's the magic of Christmas, I guess ;)

Yes, that's what I'm wondering too - do we go "I'll do that one!" in public or is it a surprise? :P

I'm embarrassed to comment since I don't have any writing or photoshopping skills...but I followed a link here and this is such a nice idea. I do have other talents, for one I make jewelry and I'd be happy to hook someone up with a pair of cute earrings or necklace or something if they were interested. I could wrap it in Michael Scofield paper if that would make it more Prison Break-ey.

But I've always wanted to read a small something with Michael/Sara out and about living happily together a few years after everything and running into Syd, the tattoo artist from Season 1, and hearing that conversation and then of course Michael having to explain/introduce Syd to Sara. In my world Michael never got the tattoos lasered off but either way...

Just throwing it out there...I don't know if something like that has been written already but I'd love to read it if it has.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone :)

There is absolutely no need to feel embarrassed about commenting here since anyone who brings some Prison Break love is more than welcome. Please feel free to join the community since you would be very welcome. And the thought of some cute jewellery wrapped in Michael Scofield paper sounds wonderful! :)

I do like the idea of a happy Michael and Sara running into Syd - I agree with you that Michael should never have had his tattoo lasered off but it might make it edgier if it was. As far as I know something like this had never been written but it's certainly an intriguing idea. Who knows what Santa might bring?!! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too, sweetheart - and don't forget to join!!
