had a very good day in Northampton with Mom and Ashley today. i've never been there without someone else to navigate (aka Jess Kim or Jenn) and it was sweet to recall the area. i took Mom and Ashley to Thai Garden because they'd never had Thai food, and they loved it! i was very excited! mm sticky rice and mango and fried bananas with honey. however, the gay store was closed which was disappointing. anyway i guess the point of this is just that even though there is an undeniable space between my lifestyle and my family's, we are certainly getting closer and i am very grateful that we're getting over barriers that don't exist the same way anymore. i am not looking forward to saying goodbye to them on Saturday morning, but i am so looking forward to being in Prescott with my girl (OMG), my new housemate YAY, and Josie!! what could be better?!
